  1. Here's my Doopy's with working stock Marc
  2. Thanks for the kit Brian, which inspired this project. All my son is expecting is a Doopy's kit. But the possibilities your scope offers means I had to do something with it other than install it! He will recieve a first class, fully built e11, along with a stand for christmas. Which, was born from this kit. Again, I thank you! Marc
  3. Ok so here's where I'm upto with my sons e11 Christmas pressie. And here's the working model https://www.dropbox.com/s/xzq1vnn0irt2tsd/20161124_090239.mp4?dl=0 Marc
  4. This is what I managed to achieve with one of Brian's amazing scopes... Ok so here's where I'm upto with my sons e11 Christmas pressie. And here's the working model https://www.dropbox.com/s/xzq1vnn0irt2tsd/20161124_090239.mp4?dl=0 Marc

  6. Have a look on eBay for Humbrol paints #14,5 and 85
  7. No probs, if you need anymore side by side let me know Marc
  8. Cool. I see your point. The front and back plates on the FX kit is a fair bit longer than others out there. If you look at my FX kit you can see that once I reduced the kidney plate I trimmed the ab to line up at the top. When I assembled my FX, I did trim along the seam. Now that you've pointed it out when you look at the comparison my FX butt is larger than my other kit. Which, also means that I could've gotten rid of the inch or so from the butt rather than what was trimmed from the kidney. I mean, who wants a big butt, right? Anyways you could always trim where you've marked and then reduce the top of the ab ( which will be covered by the chest plate and lower kidney to fit. If not then your belt will hide that seam anyway. Hope this helps. Marc Opps forgot to put reference pic up!
  9. Love my number 5 scope kit. Very well detailed. This one's going on my son's Doopy's blaster which I am building for one of his Christmas presents. Light and sound to be added. Marc
  10. Could you pop a photo up with the ab and kidney/ butt plates lined up?I trimmed mine on the line, but had to trim the kidney plate anyway so I could avoid the back plate overlapping the kidney. This did however mean I had to trim and reshape the top of the ab in order for it to line up with the top of the kidney. If that makes sense? Marc
  11. Ouch. That doesn't look good trooper! May be worth getting hold of your vendor for a new left thigh mate. Unless you have too much overhang over the knees which would allow further trimming, I don't know what else to suggest. If there is a way around this then someone will chime in. Marc
  12. I can't believe I've just gone and measured my own head! Hahaha. By noggin is 22.5 inches and I still need foam padding and a chin strap. Yes getting the tech inside can be a challenge. I currently have my mic and wireless transmitter and two fans running of a USB power bank. I am intending to put a hearing assist kit in there too. Here's a shot of the inside. Marc
  13. If your not putting in for submission, then go with what you have. To be honest, the only people who will notice the two left shins are the purists. My son still looks great rocking my old FX kit and gets asked for photos all the time. Marc
  14. I could never get why they banned the FX lids.....until I bought my next set of armour. That's when I realised how big that lid is.Here's a couple of shots comparing the two with my newer helmet on the left, and the FX lid on the right. Marc
  15. Do you have any spare sheets of abs Usually you get a couple with the kit and is sometimes labelled as the belt. If so it's a relatively easy fix. You could trim off both raised sections on the back of each shin. Then cut down the spare abs into cover strips. Glue one half of each cover strip to the outer side of each leg and Velcro the outside of the inner calf. Most kits don't have a raised edge on the rear of any calf sections. The cover strip needs to be 25mm in width for the rear on the calf. Make sure that the calf will fit, minus the raised bit BEFORE cutting! Here's a pic of a calf from my current kit for refference. Hope this helps By the way. I use the bra hook and elastic method so where you see the holes would be where you'd install Velcro
  16. Possibly, I don't know. Otherwise have had this kit for a fair few years so it make sense to make that fix if they're continuing to sell it [emoji2] Marc
  17. Here's my old FX legs (two lefties) which was the case with the FX kit as far as I'm aware. Marc
  18. So here's how I set up the two part trigger switches. First off was to make the scope targeting led switch. This was designed to make contact, in order to light the scope with just a slight squeeze of the trigger, and then maintain contact and illumination whilst the trigger was fully squeezed / firing, along with shutting off when released. Next was to make the contacts for the sound board. This was assembled by running a cable through the trigger to a contact at the rear, which when pressed would complete the circuit by striking the contact in the grip. I just need to get my hands on the donor blaster and see how the lights look. Marc
  19. You are spot on.You get two left shins with that kit! Marc
