Has anyone had a response from Wyatt yet? I'm really looking into buying one of these but I have yet to get any word back.

Question for long haired troopers
Axle Gatin replied to nannytrooper's topic in Getting Started - Read this First!
Just imagining a head full of dreads cramped up in a balaclava/helmet for a few hours is quite enough. I wonder how that smells afterwards? On a related note, do the balaclavas breathe easily? I have decent length hair and was considering the purchase of one, but I'm not sure how neckseal+helmet+balaclava would hold up in Florida heat! Wishing you a speedy recovery! -
Here's the plan...any advice?

Being that this is the first I've heard of ZombieTroopers, are there any decent links or information on these guys? I'm terribly interested at the concept! -
Thanks! Where did you get those hovis? I'm definitely thinking about trying your setup!
-
So you put the PVC nipple in the helmet, the speaker behind that, the cap to cover the whole assembly on the inside of the helmet, and THEN put hovis to cover the outside? I don't think I follow what happened to the outside of the helmet. Are hovis just the metal screen or are they an entire cap unit thing?

Intake and exhaust cooling fans
Axle Gatin replied to gazmosis's topic in Electronics for Helmets / Blasters
So the decal will still be use-able after being taken off and re-applied? Also I was just assuming you could use the vent line itself as a cut-along-the-lines kind of deal, no? -
RT-Mod makes some decent ABS from what I hear. I'm waiting for my helmet to arrive in the mail! Check out his stuff at RT Mod

You said using a dremel on decal-ed vents would be a problem, any solutions? Otherwise I was going to do this as soon as my bucket came in! -
Looks great! Can't for mine to arrive!

Hey Wyatt, I'd love to order one of these, if you could email or PM me the necessary information I'll have your payment by my next paycheck, I just need to outrun an Imperial Blockade first. Email is cotoole@mail.usf.edu Also did we ever discover what the red buttons were for?

My friend was considering getting an ATA set, and we have a job that requires us to sit in a golf cart for 5 hours at a time patrolling campus, but of course we'd like to do this trooping. Do you think the HIPS would stand up to that sort of abuse, at least once or twice?

What can you do to fit the suit to different body shapes? You need to (usually) buy the undersuit separately, I've read people using UnderArmor body suits or even dive skins.

I thought the RT-Mods lids were some of the larger sized ones? -
Mic tips with speakers - wich ones to get?

I have to ask here cause I can't find the definition otherwise, but what are HOVIs? Also are there any in-helmet systems that produce enough sound to be heard at more than conversational sound levels? -
What is it like? Also I've searched around and the only thing I could come up with was ----------- and there weren't really as many reviews or comments as there were people saying "I want one" I'm really wondering what they sound like and how they fit in, along with how much cooling they provide; basically I'm looking to buy one set of electronics for my bucket and be set.

These look great! I've sent you an email and are kindly awaiting a reply, Rob. Can't wait to do business! I'm negotiating with Rob now to place an order!

Isn't the RT set one of the larger sized ones? I have a pretty decently sized head and was thinking about getting one of those with a Skullworks set, but after reading your comment about the helmet being a tough fit I'm having second thoughts. Also, how is the aeration from the fans that it comes with/where did you install yours? I think it would be pretty helpful for everyone if someone made a video or recording of the set up; the one provided from the web site is pretty lame.

A few newbie questions
Axle Gatin replied to Axle Gatin's topic in Getting Started - Read this First!
Thanks for the answers so far! I'd still love to hear from anyone that has any experience with the skullworks set, or any other mostly all-in-one package for helmet electronics. Also, averaging most of the manufacturers and specifics (I'm not asking you to favor a manufacturer because I'm very aware that is frowned down upon), but what should be a minimum or average price range for a good helmet? I'm thinking ABS definitely, and maybe the ANH stunt helmet. Edit: I was looking at the thread with the basic listing of manufacturers and I was wondering if being 5'12'' and ~190 pounds would necessitate going for one of the larger kits listed (AM, RT, TM). And if I decide to do that, does contacting the manufacturer simply consist of shooting them an email saying "hey I'd like a stormtrooper helmet" or what? -
Hey all, I've been considering getting armor and a helmet for a while now but I've finally made the decision to do it. I'm saving up and looking up resources, but since there's so much online it can get pretty overwhelming sometimes. So I just have a few questions about getting started and armor details. 1. Are all the eye lenses green? I have never seen a helmet where the lenses on the outside look green, but when I look at all the for-sale helmets they're all green. 2. I've been looking to get just a helmet for now, but I've heard that you can't really separate the purchases, and that you have to buy the whole deal instead. Is this generally true? 3. What would be the most decently bang-for-your-buck place to get a helmet? I'm thinking the ESB one, but personally I really can't tell the difference between the helmet models 4. As far as helmet hardware goes, I was looking at the Skullworks set that pretty much includes everything. Has anyone had any experience with this and/or would you recommend a better alternative? Sorry if these questions have been asked a billion times before!
