I have a supplier in Australia that I get the mirrored lens material from. It comes in green, blue, yellow, red and silver. I also have a small sheet of it in Red Mirrored that I was gonna use for this bucket, but the CRL's call for green lenses. I may make a set up anyway to swap in and out. That's the nice thing about the EFX with the lenses mounting system, you can easily change out your lenses. I will post a pic of it with the red lenses as well when I get a chance to cut and drill a set.

Thanks guys! Worked on the bucket a bit more last night. Installed correct blue tube stripes from TK4510 (thanks Mike). Installed black mesh screen behind frown. Installed ear screws. Installed mirrored green lenses. Installed kevlar military helmet padding indentical to how it is installed in my TD bucket. Here are some more pics...

Bluey's TM 1.5mm ESB TK Build[*TM]
Quartermaster replied to FIVE's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Armor looks great Noel! I think it fits you very well. Can't wait to see the finished product. -
Thanks Mason. I was going by picks in the CRL section and they show the right hand guard red and the left stays white. Also going to place the control pad in the ab plate upside down as is in the game. I see in the game screen caps that both hand guards look white, so it is a bit confusing. It also looks like the forearms have red vertical stripes on 3 or possibly 4 sides. The CRL pics only show 2 vertical stripes. I want to make sure this is correct before I paint anything else.

Sorry for the delay with this build. I have been working my butt off building 12 Sandtrooper Bacckpacks since November, so I figured it was time to take a break and get this armor done for myself! I will be posting more pics later of the build progress, strapping, etc., but here are a few pics of the helmet, shoulder bells and handplate that I just finished painting. Most of the other armor pieces are taped up and ready for paint. Hope to get them done this weekend if the weather cooperates. Here ya go.....

Way to go Lou! If there is any help I can lend with molds, the vac table, etc. please let me know. I will be glad to help see this project get rolling. I'm in for TD pack parts when the time comes!!! Can't seem to build these things fast enough!

Yes, a radio. Here is a screen cap of an HWT pack... And here is a close up of the radio... Crashmann doesn't make that, but a Sonix Replica off the TD pack is acceptable.

PM on lenses sent Cameron.

The radio dials were done a bit different because the Trooper who ordered this really liked the LED ring I did on some of my other builds. The radio in the game screen shot has no visible speaker and the twin dials are lower on the box. I placed them up higher and the speaker grill/LED ring low similiar to a TD Sonix radio.

Kind of like this one.... This is my latest build for a fellow FISD member I will not name (I will let him chime in if he wants to) This is a single base pack with the general layout of the game pack. Took a few liberties with the antenna(removable for EIB application) and the LED ring/speaker on the radio box.

This is what it's all about. It's why we do what we do.

This one is spoken for boys. Thanks for your hard work Mason. Can't wait to get it!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Terry! The boys would be a hit, that's for sure. I am planning on bringing him to the USS Intrepid Troop in Manhattan in Feb. You should bring Logan. -

Hey Terry. Thanks for the Kudos. Right now he is liking the HWT title. We are gonna go full TD with it and weather it up, just not sure when yet. I am still planning on taking you up on the weathering. Got his TK boots a few days ago. Now I just have to trim and taper the shins a bit. BTW...I still owe you a Beret. Let me know what size you are and I'll get one to you my friend! -

Just wanted to post some more recent pics of the boy suited up with his custom pauldron. Special thanks to Terry, aka Pandatrooper for the awesome job on the pauldron! I am planning on bringing him on a future troop with me soon. Got the OK from my CO. As long as it's not a Canon or LFL event, he can tag along. I will have to post some pics of that when it happens. Also got some kids sized TK boots on the way! Should be here in a few days. -
Congrats Dan on another EI! For what it's worth, the antenna on Dan's pack was an "extra" added just for fun. Made it removable specifically so it would match the game pack and not interfere with attaining EI HWT status. I'm all about having some fun with creativity while still trying to follow the appropriate CRL's.

Thank guys! He is really stoked about it. Special thanks go out to Pandatrooper for the screen accurate orange pauldron he made special for my boy. It came in today and it is amazing!!!!!!! I will have him suit up again (which won't be too hard) and get some new pics with the pauldron on. -
TD / HWT Armor Build for my 9 yr old

OK everyone. The boys gear is completed! I am going to wait to due some weathering until after Halloween. He wants to be a "Shiny" for his school parade. He is also going to be entered in a Costume Contest this Friday. He won 1st place last year with a vintage Robot costume I built for him. And now for the unveiling.....drum roll please........................ Couldn't find any TK boots in a size 2, so for now I picked up a cheap pair of mostly white sneakers from walmart for about $8 and spray painted them with Krlon Fusion Gloss White. Had a real rubber tubing neck seal that I got awhile back from Rom/FX that I was able to cut down to his size. Also managed to put an SEA Small Talk Amp behind the chest plate and hot glue the small mic in the frown. Got it off Ebay for $9! -

Finished the inside of the bucket. Padding installed. Even put some thin padding around the bottom of the lenses (the boy was complaining that the bottom edges of the lenses were touching his face just below his eye). Also installed a squirrel fan, switch and 9v batt. -

Build Update!! Helmet is basically done. All painting done, tube stripes installed, Neck and brow trim installed, metal mesh in frown, hovis and mirrored green lenses. The hovis are resin cast sceen accurate, but they stuck out way to far so I sanded/trimmed the ends off a bit to shorten them up. Just gonna put some padding in there and if I have time a small fan, maybe a cheap mic and amp. Here are a few pics next to a full size MRCE Bucket. Thanks for all the great comments on this! It has been a fun build! -

Hey Ryan! My boy is 9, but he takes after his Mom and is a bit on the small side. The guy I got the kit from is over on the Legion boards, but he said he is taking a break for a while with pulling kits until after the New Year. He doesn't do many kids kits and I think I got the last one he was doing for awhile. The kit is made to fit someone up to about 4' 5" and max 50-55 lbs. It fits him perfectly so he will only get maybe 6 mos to a year out of it. We'll see. I really enjoyed building it. I would do another if I could find a kit this nice but a bit bigger for him as he grows.
