  1. Hey Brothers Griffin and Toddo good to hear from you. The maker is SDS , after seeing a TK trooper in our squad with the same armour i decide to bite the bullett and go with this maker. It is a beautiful finish and am very happy with the outcome. @ todd i might take your offer up about the belt as that will get me into the specielist program over at Spec Ops. Thanks for looking guys i appreciate the comments
  2. Howdy Everyone, Just thought i would post up some pictures of my just completed Blackhole Stormtrooper. Hope you like them.
  3. Thats not a nice thing to say Jon about a fellow 501st member. Us people in OZ are nice people, just ask Oprah..
  4. Hi Terry congrats on the build mate you have done a fantastic job on the AM kit. I also have a AM lite kite which i purchased about 12 months ago when i fist joined the 501st. I have a crack very similiar to yours in the chest piece around the same position, i have trooped in this armour about 15 times and i always look after it and when its not in use i hang it in the wardrobe. Is there a way that you know of that will stop the crack spreading further.
  5. If your after a descent DLT-19 there is a guy in our garrison called Grand Moff Niko who is a contact for some really good resin ones. I think he posted in the forsale section on the main 501st board.
  6. Geez you blokes put mine to shame. Left to Right OSCS commander Gree helmet, Efx Esb helmet, AP helmet I also have a Episode 2 clone grunt and a AM anh helmet not pictured. -----------
  7. Got mine finished and fixed up as well. This photo was taken recently at a EB games troop for the launch of the new Star Wars unleashed 2 game
  8. Looks good mate but don't forget the mesh that goes in behind the frown.
  9. Hi everyone. Can someone explain to me or point me in the right direction of how to apply the Helmet edge trim. Is there any easy secret tips to apply this to the bottom of the helmet. The helmet is a AM which i have completed except for this last bit which has me stumped.
  10. Yeah of course you can do it. I had to do it with my AM helmet I even heated the back of it and the ears to make them fit properly. I think its a must with this helmet to get everything in proportion.
  11. Its a fantastic kit with very fine detail and easy to build. I have not long finished my AM build. The biceps need a bit of trimming and sanding to get that exact fit. I heated the biceps then bent them into shape and trimmed the excess off then sanded the areas to blend it in.
  12. I did exactually the same as 4702 on my AM kit and it works a treat. The belt doesn't slip down it stays in place all day. Remember to slide a piece of ABS into the section of the belt where the holster will mount. It gives it more strength and stops the belt from buckling over.
  13. They are a nice finished off armour. i just completed mine a week ago.
  14. Here is one front on showing how the shoulder bells sit. I am not as tall as you are i am only 5 foot 8 but you still should be able to position the shoulder bells so they fit any frame size.
  15. Here are some pics of my AM kit just completed 1 week ago.
  16. I think all you need to do for the shoulders is shorten the shoulder bell attachment where it joins into the top of the shoulder area and maybe just centre it more or position it to the front a bit. Are the shoulders bells attached by snaps to the main chest piece??
  17. Man i wish i could lay on the lounge like that in my AM lol I noticed in one of your pics with your arms up that you have a lot of room in the biceps area. With my AM i trimmed about 20mm of where they join then immersed them in boiling water to get a better shape. You may also have to trim the top of the bicep then sand it to blend in with the rest of the bicep area. Then get a heat gun and heat up the top overlap and bend it to shape
  18. The AM is a very nice kit. We have had guys waiting in Australia for 7 plus weeks for them to arrive. I hear there not to far away from being distributed. I have gone for the full kit but eventually will get a AP bucket to match.
  19. Hey Robert I am in the process of building the same kit at the moment and have hit a small issue with the return on the chest plate catching on the buttons that are located on the AB plate. Can you give me some guidance of how to get around this issue. I am not that tall and i think that might be half the issue. Nice armour.
  20. Great looking conversion. What did you use for the ejection area? did you paint it or apply something else to give it that silver metal look. I have just finished a conversion myself and was stuck on what to do for that area. Thanks
  21. Hey Will good to see someone else building a AM kit as well. This is my first build and i find it pretty easy to follow the instructions but have also used this site for referance as well. The AM kit is finished off nicely, it is very sharp and looks pretty smart. I am only half way through my build but am happy with my progress and results. I would recommend this kit to anyone. http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh213/noddiesxr/Armour%20Build/DSC00027.jpg Left side of armour is joined with rivets and snaps then added webbing with snaps on the inside to hold it together. Most of the lower legs glued at the front and rear on thigh pieces and shins glued on the front and industrial velcro on the rear.
