  1. Behold! What things of beauty! I was seriously tempted by one of the new TM ANH helmets myself but couldn't justify the purchase at the moment really. What with my ABS kit on the way for my own ANH build.
  2. I'm in good company then. All your tips for fitting my armour to my stature have been spot-on so far.
  3. This photo of me from the weekend caught my eye and prompted me to re-tackle my thighs. I'd had a niggling doubt in my mind since I'd put them together that maybe I'd left them a bit too "roomy". This picture made my mind up. So I took off the finishing strips from the back of the thighs and opened up the seam again. I cut out around 20mm (the width of the finishing strip) on each and put them back together again. It seems to have got rid of the extra gap and my thighs sit nice and snug now. I also think I'm addicted to buildign armour too. It was so much fun to crack open the plastic weld and E6000 and have something to do again! More photos as soon as I get my holster and suit up for clearance/EIB photos.
  4. Ooh! Very interesting!
  5. Bueno, yo también grite© mucho cuando marcó Puyol a Alemania pero sólo porque "Losotros" es mi segundo equipo, es decir cuando juega Alemania, yo soy hincha de los otros!
  6. Of course ... I've been following the thread but didn't really put two and two together for some reasons. Good luck with the project. Looks really promising.
  7. Hi Mark, Just intrigued as to whether you ever finished putting this armour back together and how it turned out.
  8. If you have a big waist, painting the inside of your armour won't help; you'll need to shim the sides!
A mi tampoco.
  10. Good start but I find curved scissors better for most trimming work. For finishing off the teeth I've found small craft files to be very good.
  11. Good work, trooper. Looking forward to seeing the photos of you all kitted out.
  12. Troopers selflessly helping troopers. It warms the cockles of my heart!
  13. You really must take a bit more care when building helmets, mate. That thing's all sloppy and knackered looking. Utter rubbish!
  14. It looks very rigid to me. I am on my second neck seal becasue the first one had plastic tubing inside and it was too uncomfortable. For comfort I can highly recommend TK409's ... http://www.tk409.com/tk409.html#
  15. Maybe they've sold 500 exactly like it so far!
  16. Just to add to what's already been said, there also seems to be a link between this online store and Jedi Robe (http://www.jedi-robe.com/) in London. They use the exact same photos to advertise what presumably is the same armour. Possibly the same business. Anyway, take it from someone who nearly fell for it himself before luckily doing some homework: avoid both at all costs!
  17. It looks quite fetching!
  18. I've just been over and it's gone all pink!

  20. Smart move on the chest/back. That's going to improve the overall look a lot.
  21. Thanks for the comments, guys. Compliments from the German Garrison's best dressed are really very big compliments. Dan, I'll keep adjusting the back plate. I think I'm just a haf a centimetre from the ideal height. Your photos show that it's possible. In fact a little heat and readjusting that curve might just do it. Grüß den Ruhrpott (meine zweite Heimat) für mich!
  22. Nice build! Looks to be a good fit.
  23. No worries, just copy the URL and use the "insert image" button or the funny square brackets: [/img]
