  1. Thanks a lot, guys. Unfortunately we've all (except eagle-eyes Matt) missed one silly mistake. So, I'll be putting my gloves together properly tonight as I mentioned. I can only imagine I picked out one of the few movie stills with a trooper with the hand guards on the wrong way round when I was gluing mine on (there are a few it seems).
  2. Ooops! Time to get the glue out! Perfect excuse to use the extra set and the other gloves that fit me better. New photos later this evening.
  3. TK-6042 requesting 501st member access ... http://www.501stlegion.org/members/searchresults.php The missus can vouch for me ...
  4. I don't mind. Whatever is easiest for you to work with. If you need the larger originals just let me know. I definitely can't bring both on the plane. I would like to wear the ESB considering it is an ESB celebration. But on the other hand, I'll be the only one. Everyone will think I've got my holster on the wrong side and have run out of grey paint!
  5. 501st membership details: http://www.501stlegi...archresults.php This is my second TK outfit using the same armour featured here: http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=12582 The following components have been swapped for ANH: Helmet, belt, holster, gloves, hand armour, blaster. The details and progress are documented in this thread: http://forum.whitear...=1entry142787 Let me know if any extra photos or information is required.
  6. I'm happy for either this last photo or the phot which DamiÔn already has received to be used for my profile. Thanks in advance for checking (and hopefully approving).
  7. My TK number has just been confirmed ... http://www.501stlegi...archresults.php ... so it's on with the show. First up, ESB Stunt. The details and progress are documented in this thread with much enthusiasm and far too much detail in this thread ... http://forum.whitear...=1 Let me know if any extra photos or information is required.
  8. Get your kit on for the lads, get your kit on for the lads ....
  9. Well done, sir! You've done the Spanish Garrison proud .... and Athletic too!
  10. Thanks, mate. It's been a joy working with the kit.
  11. Thanks, mate. Yeah, I'm a nutter but I just love building and tinkering. Always room for improvement. It won't be long before I'm bothering Paul for some 1mm armour.
  12. I think the work on my biceps and forearms really paid off. I've got pretty close to the look I wanted. This is what my full ESB outfit is now looking like ... I also found a temporary solution for my drop boxes and put my ANH outfit together. I'll save most of the photos for the EIB threads but here's a quick peek ...
  13. OK, gotcha! Just being silly anyway. As you were, ladies and gents ...
  14. Happy birthday, mate!
  15. Hope these are of use to you. I don't claim particularly to know what I'm doign by the way!
  16. I will take one for you. I'm 1.72m / 68kg.
  17. Yeah, I did the same. So each time I trimmed more out, I had to cut out at least the width of the inner strip. Luckily I always needed to remove at least that amount. The outer strips with E6000 come off very easily. I just stuck a flat screwdriver underneath and worked it alng the seam. The excess glues rubs off and leaves no residue.
  18. I don't have any pictures of that I'm afraid. In the end I took out 20mm (exactly the width of the finishing strip) from each leg (I cut it all out from behind the back seam). But as you can see, it's all been trial and error with me. I think the easiest way to do it is to tape the parts with an overlap and try them on. Then keep increasing or decreasing the overlap till you're happy and trim off the excess. I've just finished re-doing the forearms which now means I have built and re-built every single part of my armour! I was just very conservative when I trimmed and glued all the parts first time round. Still, I suppose it's better to build it too big and then trim down rather than cut too much and leave it too tight. It's one of the things about the TM kit which sounds pretty daunting at first when you hear it has no seams or trim lines. In the end though, it makes it the perfect kit to trim to size.
