  1. i am somewhat proud of this accomplishment. i made a custom hombrew application for the Sony psp. it usles simple controls so there are basically no limitations to this for use as a stand alone sound FX player. especially now that used psp's can go for under 50$ it is a really good platform for the star wars movie prop enthusiast or hobbyist to use this technology for more than just playing games :D once i add the external switches.. this unit will be far superior to any FX player on the current market (yes it is slightly large) but the battery life of the psp is unmatched and the potential for expansion is only limited by the imagination and expertise of the person programing it :0Lighten:

    my Imperial FX player DEMO

here is my demo version (download it HERE) i would just like to pretty it up with a better GUI but so far it works flawlessly

  2. well today i messed with a hex editor for several hours and managed to produce this program, it is called Imperial FX player

    -------------

it is tested on CFW 3.90 M33-3 but it should work on most firmware versions, if not just use a devhook;)

to install just put the Imperal FX folder in your PSP/GAME directory

i also sacrificed GUI appearance for decreased latency, if this makes any sense

  3. lol :D ya, i use the little one for durability testing, i just give him a blaster and let him run around with it... if anything breaks off, i reinforce it more... he is a huge star wars fan also ;) any time he hears the theme music he runs and grabs one of his lightsabers or blasters and says "sta war... sta warrrs" it is acctually quite comical

 the force is strong with this one but i fear he may turn to the dark side... i just got him a rubies vader costume for halloween...

this vid of him was made last spring

  4. finally done!!! i just need to glue on the t-tracks... it has force feedback, a 7 segmet led display, 2x led inside the scope (they run off solar power with a rechargeable battery) 10x blaster sounds, also the magazine adjust the pitch when pulled out (activates a slider) also the force feedback is optional so it saves battery life. ill throw up a vid when i get a chance

  5. it is a custom firmware and hombrew apps, i also was using it as a mini guitar amp/effects processor at one time so it will already accept a mic (through the socom mic input) i just need to mod the firmware to mulitask so i can run the voice and sound effects apps at the same time. all the software to do this is free as well, and i can play "all" the games too;) as of yet, there is no hardware modifications to the psp is all just software.

you can go to-----------to get everything to do this. it is really simple but be warned, do your homework before trying this....

i am thinking of mounting it on the side of my bfg ;)

  6. before i found this site i was thinking of sculpting armor myself, just bear in mind that it will cost more in materials to sculpt it yourself than to purchase a pre made kit.

    i bookmarked a few sites

    http://www.tk560.com/stormtrooper.html

this site has some good info but the armor is not very accurate http://trooperarmor.com/

if your looking for a kit read this ;)

  7. Good progress. I troop with my sr props regularly. I'm sure you already noticed, as I noticed in your first pic, the folding stock piece very easily bends and warps. Best to reinforce or replace it. The scope rail can sometimes bend slightly also. It'll be fantastic when you get the electronics rocking.

yea alot of the parts are warped as well... i just ran them under hot water to get them to fit nicely. i am reinforcing every part with sheet vinyl and epoxy , and will most likely make a new scope rail
