i just used 2 finishing strips and they pop fit together. i was just going to put some white tape on the inside for added strength but it holds fine without it

once i get a neckseal and finish my flamethrower ill be good to submit for the 501st and the hopefully eib

is it the ultimate sith edition? or normal version

i have the ps3 and wii normal versions

  3. if you can find this it is about the same, just dries a lot faster

  4. i just landed a job as an illustrator for a small publishing company :D im going to do it part time until i get my electricians license, or possibly full time if it goes well...

anyway.. does anybody out there know of any good online resources or books for this type of work ? this is completely new to me  i am going to be making a few childrens books for charity to start out with... Dr Seuss style stuff :P

    im kind of exited lol!

  5. since the topic is weathering.. what about the ICN?

there is definite visible weathering on the armor in several areas.. namely the ab and belt, back plate details and the helmet.. around the ears and brow...

but the CRL states : "Armor and paint should be lightly scuffed, but not weathered"

IMO it should be : Armor and paint should be lightly scuffed, and lightly weathered

the armor on the screen caps looks like it has been blackwashed, i mean it has been through many fires ;)

  6. Hi there !

I received my pauldron today :)

I cut the back part (in black) to put tome plastic in there in order to give its form to the pauldron.

I think (watching at the ref pics) there is only one side to cut : the front. In fact the part wich is on the back of the shoulder is plate, and the part on the front is circular (a little bit ^^)

I think I'll wait until I received my armor before cuting anithing :)

It will allow me to see better the aspect of all the shoulder parts of this character.

just dont cut all the way through the foam or red fabric, the black fabric is really thin, and it is glued to the foam inside, i ran mine under hot water to loosen up the glue then carefully cut a slit in the black fabric on the underside of the pauldron. you will need to peel the black fabric off the foam. then you can insert the plastic

if you want more pics i can post them for you :D

  7. looking at the rotj screen-shots i can see the torso has no rivets in the sides connecting the ab armor to the butt/kidney, like anh/esb clamshell setup

    vlcsnap-2010-04-15-10h11m31s225.png

my question is... is there straps holding them together or does the belt hold the parts? also i cant seem to find any pictures of ROTJ strapping anywhere does anyone have some pics for reference? advice?

    thanks :D

  8. i masked off the chest armor and just used some ripped pieces of paper to mask off the heavily damaged areas

    DSC01514.jpg

then airbrushed with the same black/red mix

    DSC01515.jpg

applied the door trim and glued it in place with plumbers goop (best glue ever IMO, besides super glue :D) tip: the trim may buckle when bent too much, a few drops of super glue will fix that...

    DSC01517.jpg

    finished chest armor

next i will door trim the rest of the armor

  9. i started joining the but/back pieces, is this the right way? i thought the back peice may be upside down... hard to tell from the screen caps

i joined using a strip of white rubber and hot glue

    DSC01511.jpgDSC01512.jpgDSC01513.jpg

i want to make sure its on the right way before i finish trimming and reinforce the hot glue seam permanently ;)

  10. i highly suspect it is a problem with your service.. i have used RR broadband for several years without many issues (except for several dead cable modems) it could be your modem is failing. try unplugging your modem for 5-10 mins. when i start getting any type of reoccurring connection issues i just pull my modem and return it to the local RR office for a new one. i think ive done this about 6 or 7 times lol. and it always fixes the issues...

if you're using IE. There's your problem.

Switch to Firefox or chrome ;)

it could also be malware or a browser hijack but troubleshooting is hard without knowing the systems specs.

also if you have an old Motorola modem they are total trash ;) and (technically) its not really the modem, its the dns server failing to recognize your mac address. a new modem will have a new mac address, thus fixing your connection issues
