  1. i have been working on this concept for a while now, it involves a soft-modded psp with custom applications to use as a sound effect playback device and voice amp

this is a proof of concept video i made

i also plan on several hardware modifications to make it practical, like built in 2" speaker, mincropone input, AMPLIFICATION, and static burst effect. also remote sound selector switches ;)

any interst in this kind of unit?

i can make a tutorial on how to do this ,its not too hard if you own a psp:D

  2. i am also getting an error when trying to vote on polls (i tried a few just to be sure)

    ERROR:

Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.

[#103148] You do not have permission to vote in this poll.

also there is something funny with the members link

    http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?app=members&section=view&module=list

there seems to be a ton of nameless member profiles

don't know if its anything, but id thought ide let you all know

  3. got this as well

    forum.whitearmor.net Driver Error

There appears to be an error with the database. If you are seeing this page, it means there was a problem communicating with our database. Sometimes this error is temporary and will go away when you refresh the page. Sometimes the error will need to be fixed by an administrator before the site will become accessible again.

  4. Except that it's an ANH blaster. Notice the power cylinders on top of the magazine, and the hengstler? Must be incorrectly labeled at the prop stores site as they too say it's ESB.

Disclamer: I didn't have sound when I saw the clip. Could be an explanation to this AHN/ESB thingy.

Seams on a second view with another video in between that there is in fact no audio in that clip.

you are right lol, the vid is mislabeled, but it was the best vid of an real E-11 i had bookmarked

  5. i would cut it to extend out about 2" - 3". here is a video of an original ESB blaster

but like you stated there was several different lengths of magazines (some just had a wooden block shoved into the receiver), so i dont believe there is any one "correct" length, i would just study the screencaps and make a judgment call ;) personally i like them a bit on the longer side.

  6. I think there's an add-on for some forums called Shoutster, where you can have a chat link open at the top of the page and talk but still be surfing the forum. I may be wrong on the name but I know I've used it before.

    ya, sorta like facebook :D

  7. looking through his post http://whitear...=1entry153495 he is supposedly a new user, but has the ability to quickly identify armor types... it took me months of research to get to that level and i am still a bit green myself :D

im just curious, but is there any limitations on selling on the boards? for instance if i remember right, ebay requires a feedback of 10 before you can even sell anything. can any new member sell here without making any posts? with the economy in its current state and unemployment on the rise, i can foresee the internet scamming profession becoming more and more common

    just a thought....

  8. Wow that is actually quite impressive for a scratch build, kudos to the guy.

agreed, as funny looking as it is, it looks like a fair amount of effort went into making it. i like the calfs/shin details :D and the chest plate looks neat as well

  9. Dash, how were the fumes from that?

I reinforced the mic tips using sock pieces and glue and then painted the inside with Rust-oleum Painter's Touch Flat Black using a foam brush. No smell at all, but it does take a couple coats to cover, swab it on , wait 5 minutes so that layer is good and tacky and do another coat. I bought an 8 oz can and have 90% of it left over.

no fumes from the paint after it fully cured, but the plumbers goop i used to hold in the foam padding smelled fumy for a few weeks ;) i like the look of the plasti dip as well
