Ya Phil it took a very long time for mine to arrive. I had actually given up hope. I posted about it here on February 12th which is when I placed the order. I only just received it 2 weeks ago. I dont know if thats normal, but I do know anything shipping from asia can vary widely in time. I have not trooped with it yet but am pleased that it looks and feels sturdy and arrived in one piece!

Does the same hold true for Bucket sizes? I have a legion mate that has the old FX full set, but he wants to upgrade the helmet to todays Legion standards. Is RT the way to go? He has a very LARGE CRANIUM!

Andrea's Build Thread [*AM]
zsavk replied to Pickles's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
coming along great Andrea! As you can see the FISD rocks for support! Dont hesitate to ask anything. Odds are pretty much guaranteed that you will find someone with the answer. -
Yea drill from the head out. So from the inside of the belt to the outside in your case. Should be a nice hole in the rivet head where the mandrel pulled out.

The rivet can go really anywhere. It will get covered by the ear. Dont sweat it too much if you have to offset the rivet to accommodate the screw. The screw is the one that people will see so give it priority. As long as you get one rivet near the top and one near the bottom you should be good. I ran into the same issue with my helmet but didnt realize until after I had already put the rivets in. Luckily it all worked out. But the only way anyone could ever tell how close it came to being a mess is by looking inside.

if you dont have an awl or specific center punch tool just pick up any old rusty nail you might have laying around and give it a little tap on the aluminium to make a tiny indent to give your drill bit something to bite into.
