  1. Yes, ANH Hero - it is funny because at the time of my original approval there was no distinction within the TK realm. It was either "Stormtrooper (TK)" or Sandtrooper (TD). ANH, ESB, ROTJ, Hero, Stunt, etc. were just whispers with nothing clearly defined like it is now.
  2. Yes I just did some research and you are 100% correct. A look at the screen shots on this web site confirms this. I wore this suit for years and never noticed that it was up too high. Excellent, thank you.
  3. I think I never noticed the Thigh/ Cod gap before because I recently corrected the location of the drop boxes. They used to be (incorrectly) in front and it removed alot of the black area between those parts. Glad this is an easy fix I will just have to make a simple adjustment the next time I put it on. The bells are less of a concern but I can make a quick adjustment there as well. Thanks for your comments!
  4. Yes, this is the fabled FX suit. I was a hyper active member back in the day, but haven't been active for a few years (parenthood). Now starting to get back into it now, but requirements have changed. While a new Greedo suit was making its way slowly from overseas, I have been referring to the modern CRL and making many changes to the suit. Of course I would love to have the latest product but soon reality sets in, and you realize at this time a new suit is not in the budget. This was not bought from another member, but my original suit worn by me over 70 times. I can even run it it! Here are some of the changes made to the TK: New helmet New canister Paint entire suit, w/ clear coats Repaint ab buttons Reconfigure & attach holster Separate kidney from posterior Canvas belt Straps added to bells Numerous other minor adjustments comments? EDIT: MY APOLOGIES FOR NOT SUPPLYING THE PICS AS MENTIONED IN THE OTHER THREAD - THE PHOTOS WERE TAKEN WITH THE IDEA OF 501ST MEMBERSHIP BUT NOT FISD PRE-APPROVAL PROCESS.
  5. LOL! The trick for me was to get her involved. If your wife loves attention (and let's face it they all do) get her a costume too. For her at 4'-11 the Jawa choice was obvious. Here are the two of us at the Makaze Squad (Florida Garrison) annual BBQ. I am known more for my Greedo than my TK. Star Wars Weekends are a blast! All your wife need is some fans and she will be OK with it, if not hooked like us...... TK/BH-2960
  6. That is just awesome Scott M. We do a lot of charity events here in Florida. What is that stadium in pic #11? Just curious as I travel the country to visit ball parks. Up to 18 right now!
  7. Good Luck my friend. The Florida Garrison salutes your efforts :jawa: :rodian:
  8. Yeah this happened on 2 different computers for me
  9. I used Furniture polish, "Pledge" I think. It is safe for your armor, and should leava a shine! use napkins to lift the adhesive off when it is soaked with the polish.
  10. Very cool weapon! Nice and easy to handle. I just finished an MG-15 that I bought broken from a TD in our garrison, and repaired/ replaced some parts. Awesome looking but very cumbersome as you can't brace it against your body (just slides off). This smaller blaster looks like a dream! Not trying to be a spoiler, but it was never on screen right? No way I could have missed it but maybe Uncle George sneaked it in for the special Edition. I still want one though DD
  11. Very decent of Mark to do this for us. The LCO is a busy man.

    Rose Parade

Way to represent! Never has there been a finer day for the First Imperials and the 501st Legion!

    Rose Parade

Awesome! For anyone interested, the parade is from 11:00 - 12:30 Eastern time on NBC! This is our Florida listings.

    Rose Parade

Not going, but looking forward to seeing you guys (and gals) rock the parade! Does anyone know what channel it is being carried on? Butah, from the Florida boards it looks like you won't be lonely out West! With the characters in our Garrison you might wish you were Florida's lone representative.... I wish I had know about it sooner It is like being selected to the All-Star Team!
  15. Great job! Good to know a lot of hard work pays off!
  16. I don't think it is available yet, I can't find it. I took a look at the main 501 boards and it doesn't have the logo viewable.
  17. Everyone knows the black stripes on the intercom gray screw covers are rank stripes. But are there any resources that tell how many stripes mean what rank? I have never seen it posted anywhere. If there is no such resource, then who else to determine the criteria than the 1st Imperial Stormtrooper Detachment!!
  18. Would have loved to get those cards for the holidays! I am not sure if SW Christmas cards exist. They might, every other product does!
  19. I have the same Caboots, but I use Dr. Scholls Standard inserts. The ones that have been around for years, just a bit thicker. I couldn't be happier with them, my feet never get tired. I have no need to try any other method. Maybe your boots are the wrong size? See you Saturday as we of the 1st Imperials storm the Brandon Toys R Us!
  20. Blast! that is a great idea! I used Gorrilla glue which is strong. But nuts and bolts remove all doubt!!
  21. I use a brand called Players Edge for the Top. It is Available at Eastbay.com, item #12020102 "Players Edge Compression Shirt". It came with a rubberlike white label at the back of the neck (where you can see it). I stretched it and picked at it so much that it fell right off. like it was never there! Absolutely love this top. $19.99!! I ordered the bottoms at the same time but were out of stock forever. I bought compression tight with the namebrand Zyflex to replace them. They are awesome and $29.99! ------------- I did a morning troop which reached 92 degrees (here in Florida) but the white suit reflected much more heat then expected, and the compression shirt & pants kept me relatively comfortable. I could only snicker when t-shirts & shorts people were scrambling for the shade. Our poor Vader was dying. But I no longer fear any heat in white armor. after a 2 hour drive to the west I did another 3+ hours in gear (inside) that afternoon at Toys R Us. The heat is no match for the 1st Imperials!!
  22. I was a witness to the debacle, It really was hilarious!
