Howdy everyone just wanted to say I’m now proud to stand along side with my hero’s. The work you all do touched my heart and whenever the helmet is on it’s smiles all around. The first time I wore my TK in public was to just goof around and I wasn’t expecting much of anything, but I had people left and right kids adults and the elderly coming up for photos and to pose next to me. I have suffered severe depression and trauma but by becoming a member of the 501st and being able to see all the smiles has given me so much hope and has started to heal a lot of my pain. You all truly inspired me to become a member of the 501st. The journey is just beginning, my first troop is coming up this weekend with Weird Al and on stage with him. WOW!!!!! I never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I would be able to be on stage with one of my idols, and as a stormtrooper no less. Thank you all for believing in me and welcoming me with open arms. Next stop Expert Infantry then I’m shooting for Centurion! (Just need a ESB E-11)

Hey all! IG-41985 here! I’m finally taking the step away from firing the Death Star and building a TK! Very excited! I have an AM kit in buying from one of my garrison members. Going to be doing lots of reading before I cut/assemble anything! Looking forward to learning from everyone here!

Ive spoken to Andrew about this and after seeing a front on ortho shot its also too thin so Im just going to start from scratch. Its defos just the angle as well as they were just mirrored on the slicing software so identical scale. Yeah handplate was hard to catch because some angles it looked curved where others stright? Not a big deal I can make it a little more straight with some sanding.

Added gold, same as with the helmet this is just a start and more gold will be added but it’s a start. Same with the ribbons, just trying things out.

I love this feedback and appreciate the comments. I’m just a dude playing a dude disguised as another dude. All this is new for me so it’s good. Will read through and update.

Was going back and forth on what type of strapping to use, snaps, magnets, quick release buckles and what not…ended up using velcro and webbing. Easy and adjustable. I needed some more velcro- surface under the back and chest so glued in some plastic tabs before adding the velcro. left a little room to pull the flexible shoulderstraps through. I’ll glue the straps in permanently in the back but just slide them in the chest tabs so no gap here. velcro added. Lower velcro is for the black chest/back connection. Cut down the pipe on the TD, much better. lower right is new size. Decided to give ”beefing up” the side walls on the shoulders a go. It was alot more work than I thought and not sure it will make a difference when worn…well..atleast I know it’s done
