For anyone following this thread I have gotten basic approval on my suit and at the moment aiming for Expert and Centurion. Howdy! The time has come that I figured I should make a WIP thread. I've been working on this build for a few months now, just never got around to posting anything up about it. I am very short, so I didn't think there was any way I would ever be fitting a full sized kit onto myself. I've seen some other smaller people have success, but I just didn't believe it was for me. I have a FO tie pilot, and while it does fit me relatively well when all is said and done, the chest is still too big and I had to print myself scaled down forearms and shoulders. Considering how similar that armor is to the FOTK, I was and still am doubtful that I could get an ABS kit to work for me. Not that I need to justify why I'm printing a kit, I just like to overexplain. They're weirdly rounded, so I instead opted to use these, which are more accurate and also a sturdier model: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1218969215/fotk-belt-boxes-3d-model-stormtrooper?ref=yr_purchases Everything is printed at around 88%, making me into a 22/25 scale figure! Prints were done by me, fuzzma, and another costuming friend. I just jumped into printing and sanding, so here's a bunch of photos with captions. There's not much to be seen other than lots of sanding and painting. I started this project at the start of August, so these are from the past few months! I bought some gloves off a garrison mate, so here's a sizing test with the handplates Some printed bits before I got the one piece ab printed off Yay, one piece ab! Got my boots, from Keep Trooping Sanded and primed Test fit! The first version of the shins were too small to fit around the boot. I kept the height at 88% and increased the x/y to 91% Sanding work, also the first time I used an electric sander. I'm not sure if I like it Primed and awaiting final paint Test fit! Gasket test. Hello. I'm just getting started down this rabbit hole. I have been interested in a Stormtrooper (ANH) suit for years but have never been able to get to the finish line with one. I've 3d printed a helmet and it came out ok but I just wasn't really satisfied with the finish and didn't really like the 3D printable armor I was able to find online. So, after years of wanting... I finally reached out to a couple people, one who is 501st and got some more direction and advice. I'm happy to say that I just commissioned the build of a Stormtrooper Stunt Pro Built Suit (ANH) through RS Prop Masters. I'm currently working on all the required measurements they need and will have that info to them by the end of day. RS Prop Masters is advising a 12 week lead time for the suit so, I plan on using the time to research more about the sound stuff (icomm/akers/etc) so I can get all of my ducks in a row for when the suit arrives from the UK. I have a friend that built an R2D2 years ago and he goes to a lot of charity type stuff with it and I've always thought it would be fun to go to some of those events with him, so that is what I'm interested in so far. I'm still exploring the 501st forums and trying to get a better feel for everything. Once I get my suit from RS Prop Masters I think I will be filling out an application for the 501st and go through that process. I'm pretty excited and anxious to get my suit and plan on getting a mannequin so I can display the suit when I'm not using it.

Hey everyone! I'm just getting started into the world of armor making. I'm very excited about it. Last year I made a very successful Bo-Katan suit, and this year I'm super pumped to try to make a fully functional Captain Phasma suit. She is my absolute favorite, and I hope it turns out well-designed! I'm happy this forum exists for some future help making her suit more wearer friendly. I'll post a picture of my finished Bo-Katan on this post, please let me know what you think. Any and all help is appreciated! I am 3d printing on an Elegoo Neptune 4 Max and using Meshmixer. @Doggydoc Sorry for the late reply and thank you for your input. Sadly I have a very long neck. I have zero padding in the top of the helmet so it’s laying directly on my head with just the balaclava. So this is the best I can do I’m afraid ? Regarding the position of the belt it’s noted and will be addressed in coming fittings and pictures. I am at the moment preparing everything for Expert and hopefully Centurion. Once more a big thank you!
