Does the E-11 ejector port have to be metallic?

Quick question, does the shell ejector port on the E-11 have to be grey/metallic for EIB requirements?

 

I just saw a EIB submission approval and the E-11 ejector port was black. So maybe I just answered my question, but I'd like confirmation. Thanks.

Nope, we don't make a distinction for now. We could include direction on this as an optional but it wouldn't affect the requirements. I have no preference either way, but I'm sure some people will

Personally, I painted mine silver on the Hasbro. I know the Hasbro isn't screen accurate (far from it), but the silver port gets it a little closer to looking like a Sterling, and less like a squirt gun.

Leave it optional, but let's be honest - it's no biggie top paint the little area silver and it looks way better IMHO. On any E-11 I mean, be it Hasbro or Resin or Hyperfirm or whatnot.

Adds a little pop to an otherwise bland color scheme if you're nor into weathering.

It just looks better silver metallic...In general, any E-11 looks better weathered IMHO... just gives it that well used battered look..
