Complete resin E-11 pros and cons?

Recommended Posts

I am exploring the many options for an ANH E-11 blaster and have been balancing out the pros and cons of each options to get the most accurate, best price and availability.

My question is in regards to the Completele Resin E-11 Kit.

Is it better then a Hasbro Resin Kit, considering that the Hasbro is too short and looks like a toy.

Hi Steven

The resin kit you have pictured looks very much like the kit that I bought. With a bit of care and decent weathering this can look superb and you will have no problems 501st clearing with it.

Many say resin blasters are on the heavy side and may break when dropped;

Heavy - yeah, but not too much

Breakable - no more breakable than my pipe built DC15 or any other blaster ( maybe except modified Stirlings )

At the end of the day if you like it and it will clear - go for it.

This is my resin E-11, the only part I've had break is the scope rail..they are a little frail, I've yet to troop with it, but painted and weathered it is okay for me :D

just the idea of having that thing to fall down and see it break scares the crap outta me!

i went with the SR Props E-11 Kit. It´s got a nice weight, it´s accurate and durable. I fully support that kit.

I have a MOT E 11 Kit and its very good in shape.

I only change the Scope rail and made a metal one.

Ok it needs a little bit work but you can make a very nice blaster out of it.

As i know it's a MR Copy.

Also good is a doopydoo blaster, it's a copy of an original sterling mp.

Pro:

-Low Cost...only paid 70 USD include shipping

( The Doopydoo was at the same price class.)

-Very close to an real Sterling MP and so to the screen used ones.

Contra:

-U need a little bit skill and tools for to build , and paint it .

-If it falls down , maybe it brake in 1000 parts.

Yeah forgot to say mine is a Doopydoo. They are a decent mould.

I like the idea of replacing the resin scope rail with a metal one. I'm sure I've got a sheet of 1.5mm aluminium around here somewhere. That would certainly strengthen a weak point on the blaster.

If you're going for ANH, the kit you pictured doesn't include the Hengstler nor the Power Cylinders.

http://www.houseshadowwolf.com/ sells a resin E-11 that looks decent enough to me.

They'll make any version you like and also sell on eBay.

Like the others, the weak point is the scope rail but other than that it's very solid.

I think I am going to go for an SR Props E-11 because it is available now and I know it will be more satisfying to have completed the construction myself.

Now if anyone knows how I can get my hands on a BlasterCore kit. ;)
