Ok, I have been slowly working on this. So close but still far away :)

This glue rocks :)

Started glueing the strips on. Got the arms done, almost done with the legs.

Once I got them glued I taped them up to hold it in place.

I was just messing around with some different blue paints on a ear I messed up on.

Man, that's so ridiculously true.

Ā

Great build so far. E6000 is indeed an awesome substance. As far as the blue, I went with Testors Dark Blue. It's not screen accurate but looks fairly close.

I had similar problems with glue burning through my armor in places - I just used too much of it, though.

But man, your looking great so far, awesome progress. I love the shine of your paintjob!

That is looking NICE, Johnny! :peace:

Would you mind posting some pics of the left (as you're looking at it) bicep?

Ā

Mine came out lookin' kinda funky-- I'd like to compare, if you have time.

To be honest, I havent figured out which is left or right. I just kinda through the armro together for that pic. I am going to try and work on it a bit more tomorrow. Finding time is the worst part of these build. If I had it my way I would be spending a lot more time on it. I will get some pics for ya tomorrow on the bicep piece.

I'm in the same boat-- finding time is the big kicker.... okay, finding time *without* letting all my other responsibilities go to crap. :D

(Not doing so hot with that one this weekend. :P )

Ā

As for the bicep, it's this guy:

Ahhhhh... so THAT'S what it looks like when you don't screw it up. :P

Ā

Oh man... looks like I'm gonna' need to perform a rescue operation on mine.

Hmmm... hope I left myself enough plastic to put an edge on it.

Ā

Thank you for posting that! You're a life saver. This helps A TON! :salute:

Anytime :) Does the shoulder bell cover up what you did?

Ā

Umm, not really, but it's on the part of my arm that will usually be tucked against my body-- thank goodness.

Ā

It might just be that particular piece, in this one particular pull, but my inner left bicep had absolutely no edge on the top. The junk excess plastic ran right up to where the inside of the return edge should be.

Ā

I think I'll be able to heat it up and make a lip on my own, though.

My bicep will just have 1/4" or so less on top. No biggie... I hope.

Glued all the snaps today. Hope to start puting this on in the next few days. A few of the snap plates are squares that I glued on a week ago. Didnt really like how they turned out. I made the rest oblong. That way I use less glue.
