darthgarth Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 Having removed the neck and brow trim before painting, I am left with lots of glue residue and small bits of rubber stuck on, i could sand all this off but it seems a bit drastic and i can be a little heavy handed at the best of times. Just wondered what people used to remove this? thanks garreth Quote
SuperTrooper Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 There is a great stuff called Oops, but it's getting harder to find since most stores are only carrying goo-gone and goo-off. What makes Oops different is it's naptha based instead of acetone based. It's also great for getting scuffs out of ABS. Quote
darthgarth Posted February 16, 2009 Author Report Posted February 16, 2009 I was thinking white spirit, its being repainted anyway, but i think superglue has been used in places and superglue remover says do not use on plastic. thanks for the heads up, i wonder what ill get if i google ooops!!! foggy[TK] Posted March 29, 2009 Report Posted March 29, 2009 I used goo gone and white putty knives. Went through two of the putty knives and most of a small container of goo gone. Quote
