need help finding fan kit info.

MOst just use cheap computer cpu fans, I use 40mm fans. Look at the specs and find the quietest and your away

can i use a 12v fan with a 9v battery, do i need to step it down, i left school without electrical qualifications !!

Went to maplin and he said i couldnt use a 12v fan and they dont do 9v ones.

 

What do i exactly need to build my fan kit ?

It should work, but I'd think your underpowering it, causing it to run slow and drain the battery somewhat fast.

my fans are form an xbox 360 cooling fan there cheap as chips on ebay and have three fans in most of them.

they run for about 8-12 hoours on 2 9v batteries

Buy a three AA battery holder and three pairs of these batteries--------

along with the recharger----------

 

Those are rechargeable lithium 3.7v batteries, you'll have almost 12v and they'll last a lot longer than a 9v battery

I suggest the tutorial on this page for fans. Do use AA batteries. 9V are not made to run things like fans and will only last a short while and are expensive to replace. AA will last numerous troops.
