TK1491 Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 OMG I just found this pic in a bunch of old photographs. This is me, when I was a lad of 16, in 1981. Home made TK, with a snazzy DP helmet. Not to be missed are (in no particular order): --my underwear showing thru the black leotard --the paper mache shoulder bells --my awesome velcro tennies --the codpiece made out of a sheet vinyl tablecloth fast forward 28 years: Quote
Krkconsult[TK] Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 Nice!!! Speaking of old photos... Opening of ESB 1980... Lode Theatre Houghton Michigan... I'm the tall 18 year old in the carpet... Quote
CureMode[TK] Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 That's pretty darn impressive for a 16 year old, I'd say its better than any of the rubies. You must have been a handy and resourceful kid. Quote
TK1491 Posted February 1, 2009 Author Report Posted February 1, 2009 lol thanks Chris. I'll admit the paper mache bells were ambitious...and I gave up trying to make them look good after I remembered how much I hated paper mache! lol Kris- nice rig on the red carpet man. that's a priceless pic. bonus--your underwear doesnt show through your costume. synaptyx Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 Awesome. I love to see these nostalgic photos. Quote
Guest TK-2416 Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 Thanks for sharing! Scott: that's one fine costume, considering your age and the availabilty of correct items/materials.. Bravo! I remember my biggest dream at the age of 7/8 was having my own TK helmet.. It was impossible to get one (like a DP) here in Denmark ( or at least that was what I was told by my parents <_< ) Quote
Lizzeh Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 Haha nice! shame about the undies Quote
firebladejedi[TK] Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 I think apart from the upsidedown biceps that looks pretty good, i like the screen accurate bodge tape Quote
MandalorianWarrior87 Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 Great pics. Glad to see you still wanted to be a TK 28 years later Quote
