New stormtrooper uniform

I would like to get a stormtrooper costume.  I want something that is realistic.  I want to find a costume that will pass muster with your guidelines.  How much is a reasonable amount to pay? Will I be able to wear the mask while wearing glasses?  I’ve read that people put some kind of small fan in the costume.

Welcome to the FISD. 
For a proper costume, you will likely be looking in the $1500 to $2000 range, depending on how much work you want to put into it yourself. As Glen mentioned, research is the key. So many people have just jumped in with 2 feet and found that they paid more for a costume that does not have the desired accuracy.  Take your time, look over the above link and figure out which costume you want to do and then go from there. You will find lots of people here happy to assist you along your journey.
