Alex0420 Posted May 13 Report Posted May 13 Hello all, Its been a while since I've made a post on here but i have a question for those who have stormtrooper armor. What do you guys use for storing your armor when you guys go on your troops and what do you recommend being the best product to use for storing the armor. Thank you guys in advance. Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted May 13 Report Posted May 13 I use a hard plastic suitcase, and a bag for the helmet. This will give you an idea of packing, I had a fabric suitcase back then but upgraded. Some use the large Stanley boxes, I use one of those for air travel, a lot more secure, although the baggage handlers broke off a wheel. I find these too big for normal trooping, especially if you have to go upstairs. Not my photo Some put a lot of work into their boxes Quote
themaninthesuitcase[Admin] Posted May 13 Report Posted May 13 I have a big Stanley box, and it's a really good option but the size has down sides. It takes up a lot of room at home, in the car, at a troop. That said it's also been a chair, a table and a step due to its strength. They aren't terribly heavy either despite their size so lifting them is more awkward than a strain. Though last year I swapped to a large suitcase I picked up in Wallmart on holiday. It's smaller and lighter. I do have to break the amour down more to fit inside but that's not a huge issue. The other advantage is a suitcase draws less attention if you have to walk, or use public transport. For my helmet I've always used a motorcycle helmet bag. These are tough, padded and also have a soft liner so the helmet is well looked after. My blaster used to just get wrapped in a towel and put into the Stanley box. With the suitcase it's a bit more snug, so I now have a Photography lighting bag I got on AliExpress which is about the perfect size. According to my order history I got the 55cm size. It's also discreet when transporting and doesn't draw attention. Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted May 13 Report Posted May 13 I use a suitcase to pack my armour and blaster in, the helmet goes in a separate helmet bag 1 Quote

Tried a few different tubs, but all had different drawbacks and killed my back when pushing/pulling/dragging across different terrains. I ended up using a suitcase and I have a motorcycle helmet backpack (off amazon) that stores everything else. Quote
