Thoughts on Deuno Novo, today.

Hey folks,

I've been looking at a Denuo Novo kit and helmet to start my first ANH trooper. I remember them as Anovos, VERY well, so I have my caution up. I do remember the sad tale of their order filling delays; but hopefull of the new management.

I'm curious what folks thought of the kits, today. The forum is chuck full of Anovos opinions, but not too much I can find directly on the new kits bought recently with the Denuo branding and construction. Have they fulfilled easily and quickly? Is In-stock really in-stock and ready to ship?
 

I may be buying a non-used helmet too, separately. If indoors as a display, would i have to worry about mismatched colors much?

From most reports, the business is now in a much better position than it was under the Anovos name.

If they have an item in stock, it ships pretty quickly, they also don't seem to push the pre-order anywhere near as much as the old company did.

I believe they are much better on the communication side as well, but I'm sure there are others with more experience in dealings with them that can tell you more.

I purchased a DN First Order kit, a while ago. It was in stock and I got it here in the UK from the US in around a week.  I also ordered a neck seal and there was some manufacturing issues but they sorted it for me reasonably quickly, would have been faster but it went out of stock so had to wait for a restock. 
 

They usually offer discounts around may 4th, that’s what I used when I ordered.

Definitely post a build thread as I don't think we have any DN builds to date.

Question about DN kits... some members of my garrison have them, and recommended them to me.

But every time I look at the website, they're out of stock on the helmet.  They've got the body armor, but never the helmet.

So I'm wondering about a few things... do they ever get their helmets in?  I signed up to be notified on their website like a year ago, does that even work?

What's the conventional wisdom about sourcing a helmet separate from the armor... will they match in color?

Should I forget about DN armor?

They do finally deliver, time between their runs of armor / helmets and soft parts can be considerable, I think it was a couple of years until they stocked officer jackets again.

 

Doesn't hurt to reach out to them, they may be able to give you a better idea on time before they are restocked.

 

You may be able to match the color of a helmet to the armor, some have gone to paint suppliers for matching. I was lucky that the automotive white paint I purchased was a base color and matched my helmet perfectly.
