Hello folks,

I have just commissioned an RWA kit from TrooperStuff, made to measure with all soft goods included.

STATUS:

Armour ordered: DONE

Measurements: DONE

Costume storage bin:

Voice system:

E-11 decision:

Delivery of BBB:

Pre-approval photos:

Approval:

EIB:

Centurion:

In addition, the helmet comes with a Troopacoola fan system installed. The lead time will be around 12 weeks from when I send off my measurements today.

Down the line I will either be looking at a Marc Connor E-11 (deluxe articulated) or a rubber Sheartech. I also plan on possibly installing an Engage Pro soundrig for the voice, though I would love to hear about other people's setups - I like the idea of just being able to speak but I want it to sound correct with the radio "kksssch" at the end etc.

On a separate note, how do I apply for crew only membership to troop in the meantime?

Thank you all in advance, I can't believe I'm getting armour! 😁

Looking forward to seeing some photos soon.

You will have to check in with your local garrison, some have different processes https://www.ukgarrison.co.uk/

This is a UK Garrison thing so you'll need ask over there. Not sure what the exact process is honestly as it's pretty new and I've not had to do it my self, but if you need a hand I can find out for you.

For the sounds I just use an Aker speaker, no effects. I found the clicks irritating and the speaker on it's own does a pretty good job of meaning I can be heard. You can't get the one I have anymore but there's similar speakers around.

Had the humbling experience of full body measurements... but they are all sent off now! In the meantime I would like create some 'swag bag' items that I can potentially give out to kids and whatnot. Any good ideas for crafted/cheap altered items? I was thinking about doing a run of imperial rank bar stickers, or some hot glue kyber crystals, that sort of thing.

My first choice of swag to give out are collectable cards. Even if you don't have any of yourself yet, pick up a pack somewhere, autograph them, then hand those out.

Second, anything that represents Stormtrooper. Avoid anything small enough a young child can get ahold of and choke on.

Fans will remember you in costume above anything else

Locally we have had some silicon wrist bands made, printed is "501st legion" and "Bad Guys Doing Good" good items for pretty much all ages. We purchased in bulk (from China) and was very very cheap, about 15c AUD per.

Stickers we can not hand out at our convention center due to their no sticker policy, pays to check this with event hosts.

I've never had cards made but a lot of members do, you can usually get FISD or Legion cards pretty much all the time, (note you do need to be an approved member to access)
