TK-51103[TK] Posted August 18, 2025 Report Posted August 18, 2025 Hello everyone. I have a question about the CRL for the Heavy Weapons Trooper. It says that the stitching on the ammo pouches have to be black, but the picture shows white stitching. Does anyone know how this is possible? Quote

May have been the only photos available when the CRL was first published All black 1 Quote
justjoseph63[Staff] Posted August 19, 2025 Report Posted August 19, 2025 This is a really easy fix, Andreas. My pouches had the white stitching when I bought them, so I just used a black fine-tip Sharpie permanent marker and went over the white threads. It took 2 or 3 passes with the marker to be them as black as I wanted, but it came out great, One word of advice- don't use the marker on the threads in the back (rear) of the pouches. The "permanent" ink can rub off on your armor, and there's pretty much no getting it off. 3 Quote

When I first read the CRL, I just skimmed the text and based my work on the picture. My stitching were white before, too. If u use color fixer, u can paint the backside black too and the armor will stay white. Quote

We have a saying at my company, follow the written instructions, not the image, though you do have a legitimate question. FWIW I have a Centurion HWT. The ammo pouch stitching is black. Unless something has changed in the CRL lately, I believe this is the rule. If so, the photos simply need to be updated to match the instructions. 1 Quote
