Depending on how it is assembled and your body shape etc, there is no guarantee you will be able to sit as well as the trooper in the image. There is only so much that you can modify armour parts to keep them looking the way they should and to pass basic approval. Note that she is only just on the edge of her costume case, not fully armoured up either, so this is possibly the only way she can sit. If your kit is fibre glass, as most Phasma kits are, you may not be able to sit with the butt plate attached and need to remove certain parts to achieve that position. While trooping, you need to be in full kit and generally there is no time to sit anyway when at a con representing the Legion. Time to sit is when out of the public eye as the trooper is in the image above my post. I guess we are all just trying to make sure we offer the best advice to meet your expectations and your requirement to sit. We would love you to become a Stormtrooper and full member of FISD, there is just no guarantee we can give that you will have that level of flexibility in full armour to be able to sit with ease and regular frequency without discomfort or the risk of damaging your costume. Nobody has completed one so there is no CRL. There was a maker who started but did not finish make full kits and is no longer building. Quote

We are a hive of information, some specialise in very specific items, where others are good on broader subjects. This is why we set up certain sections of these forums, so you get members / expert chime in on posts where they are proficient. Pretty much anyone on these forums with high post counts are generally very experienced in assembly, accuracy, requirements for approval etc. Lots of differing elements someone can be a pro in for sure. The more specific you are with your questions, the more we can assist with the right information. If you have questions you would prefer to ask in a more private fashion, you can definitely DM either myself or Chris {Themaninthesuitcase} and we are happy to assist as much as possible. 1 Quote

Local 501st legion should be able to help you, I believe Mountain Garrison looks after events in Colorado https://www.mg501.com/, you can reach out to them here https://www.mg501.com/forum/contact or via their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/MG501st/ Legion map of US garrisons https://www.501st.com/maps/imagemap-northamerica.php This forum is a Detachment we do not organise or collaborate with events, the forum is more for costume help. Good luck hope everything works out. 1 Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted May 21, 2025 Report Posted May 21, 2025 That is definitely a local garrison and Legion level question. Considering the IP is owned by Disney, a major event like the Olympics may not be achievable without their consent for legal reasons. They are very particular about what they will allow involvement in when it comes to their brand and the 501st or any costuming club. Certainly worth investigating with your local unit though. 1 Quote
