Length of Detonator?

Out of interest guys, how long are your Thermal detonators . Mine measures 8.5" end to end, just wanted to know if mine needs trimming

Which one do you have? The FX version is bigger than all of the others AFAIK.

I have 2 made by AA at SDS, they both are 8.5" long. Just wanted to know how long are the majority <_<

I can check my TD when I get home, it's an FX, which probably is what the majority have.

Sorry mate, I didn't mean to stir things up, it was just an observation

I'm only going by what I've seen on screen used suits and to me the one in your photo

looked a wee bit long, didn't know it was an SDS but I think AA might of miscalculated

it a little bit

 

I think you can work it out roughly by taking the proportions / dimentions that you know

to be a constant. So if you look at the screen shot of the back of the stoormtrooper we

can safely say that the rectangular section that follows through from the kidney plate to

the butt is a known measurement, so from that you can work out as near as possible what

the TD size should roughly be.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mate, if you're happy with it then leave it, you don't have to create more work for yourself

but if you want it more screen accurate then its break out the Dremmel I'm afraid

I think your right mate looking at the pictures, Im gunna loose about the width of the cap off each end I recon. Dont know about the dremmel, the hack saw will chew through that quicker LOL!!!

Mine from the AP kit is approx 7.5"

 

I just need better clips...where do you get them...or do you make them?

My clip is just a pice of heated up abs and bent into a clip shape, If you look down at the request elite page and look on my application, someone has put on there about making clips mate
