ZeroRoom[TK] Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 I've created a bunch of 501st desktop Icons and wanted to post them here for everyone. How do I post a link that will allow the user to just click it and begin downloading the file? Maybe a stoopid question but you gotta ask... Quote
SuperTrooper Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 You have to get the files hosted on a hosting service, kinda like photobucket for files. There are free ones out there, but I can't remember the names of any off the top of my head. Quote
nyoron Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 you have sendspace rapidshare megaupload mediafire take your pick Quote
Daetrin[Admin] Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 I use dropbox as well, such as : http://www.getdropbox.com/gallery/102565/0/?h=ddf934 I like it because I don't have to upload anything. It's integrated in to a folder in My Documents and creates galleries, etc. on the fly, uploading new files in the background. Quote
TK8776 jgarrettg Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 That's pretty cool Lucas. Can't wait to see them. Quote
ZeroRoom[TK] Posted October 1, 2008 Author Report Posted October 1, 2008 Thanks guys. I have a public folder on my .mac account that acts like drop box. Is there a way though that I can set the link up so that you don't have to click, go to my folder and then download but rather just start the download straight out of the forum thread? Quote
