TK Stunt Belt Issue: Not Snapping

Hi All

 

I adding the plastic ammo boxes and the drop boxes to my canvas belt, but now I can't seem to get it to snap into the front of the abdomen piece. It's almost as if the plastic portion is preventing the snaps from attaching correctly. Any thoughts?

Could be you’ve not allowed room for the belt to curve, did you figure out the hole positions on a flat surface?

Could very well be I attached it incorrectly. Is there a good method to remove the rivets and try again?

A drill! Just be careful go slow and have a wet towel to cool the rivet so it can’t melt the plastic. Drill in short bursts.

Snaps definitely don't hold well if they are on a slight angle. Follow Chris's suggestion and use a sharp drill bit, seems to help reduce the heat. Good luck.

My snaps never held well either. I attached white velcro strips to help hold the belt in place. One in the front middle and one on each side of the ab piece. Once its wrapped around and tightened at the back, it's not coming off.

I redid the pop rivets after measuring again and the belt works fine now.
