StrmTRPR85[TK] Posted February 17, 2018 Report Posted February 17, 2018 Hello all, Last night I was looking over my assembled parts and realized that I have trimmed my forearm halves down a bit to much to have them fit me just right. Will the unsymmetrical parts prevent centurion approval? Wrist Side Elbow Side If this is an issue for approval whats the best fix? How water bath? Quote
CableGuy[TK] Posted February 17, 2018 Report Posted February 17, 2018 (edited) Hi Jeff, Do you mean because the cover strips aren’t parallel? Do you have any pictures of them on with your undersuit? Symmetry and stormtroopers don’t usually go hand in hand. ;-) Here’s the elbow end of a screen used forearm from the FISD gallery. You’ll see that not all parts are symmetrical. Could you expand a little more on which part is bothering you? Edited February 17, 2018 by CableGuy 1 Quote
StrmTRPR85[TK] Posted February 17, 2018 Author Report Posted February 17, 2018 My concern is that the coverstrips are not parallel. I can snap a few pics in my undersuit in a minute. Quote

CableGuy[TK] Posted February 17, 2018 Report Posted February 17, 2018 I’ve just had a look at your main build thread and can see that they looked pretty parallel at that point. Have you trimmed further since, hence this post? Possibly looks like your cover strip just slipped during gluing. Did you use E6000, or a similar, removable glue? If so, if it bothers you you could probably just remove the cover strip (pictured top), move it over a little to equally cover both halves of the arm, and re-glue. (Looks like it’s covering significantly more of one half than the other). ### To to be safe, I’d post the question on your main build thread, also. I can see that Tony ( @ukswrath ) amongst others is following your build and certainly has a great eye on things like this. Quote
StrmTRPR85[TK] Posted February 17, 2018 Author Report Posted February 17, 2018 I only posted my left forearm in my main build thread so far. This guy is my right forearm that has me concerned. I'll post it up in there and see what gets called out and solutions. Thank you Cableguy! Quote

Probably just a minor adjustment to line it up, just for your own piece of mind. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote
StrmTRPR85[TK] Posted February 17, 2018 Author Report Posted February 17, 2018 That's what I feel 95% of my posts are for my own peace of mind lol 1 Quote
magni[TK] Posted February 17, 2018 Report Posted February 17, 2018 You should be fine. Just make sure coverstrip is even on both halves to keep everything snug for many troops to come. Keep up the good work! 1 Quote
StrmTRPR85[TK] Posted February 18, 2018 Author Report Posted February 18, 2018 Thanks Magni I may remove it and reset it to make sure it is a bit more over the one side than the other. Glad to hear it shouldn't cause me any issues on Centurion approval. Quote
