Personal Information

Armor Information

  • Base armor: Anovos kit with completed helmet (including neck seal and holster)
  • Helmet: Anovos; taken apart, overspray removed from frown and vocoder, frown completely repainted and lengthened, Hovi mic tips replaced (UKswrath's Hovi Mic Speakers), eyes and teeth excess plastic removed, interior improvements to lenses, frown mesh, and lining (including mic and ROM/FX audio system plus two fans from Henry's Helmet Fans). Four bumps/two screws, traps/tears, rank stripe, and neck trim/seal are all as per CRL.
  • Shoulder straps, chest, and back armor: free-float in back, glued in front, attached with white elastic/cloth.
  • Abdomen armor: three rounded rivets on side painted white, male snap and split rivet added, and buttons painted with Testors gray and Humbrol French blue.
  • Belt: replaced original belt with stiffer one from TrooperBay, removed extra two Chicago screws and leather bits from black leather holster, and configured drop boxes and square buttons as required to meet CRL. NOTE: I accidentally smeared a bit of E6000 near one of the holster screw holes. I haven't been able to get it off, so I am going to buy yet another belt and go through this process again...
  • Hand plates and gloves: flexible latex hand pieces glued to rubber gloves (all from TrooperBay).
  • Boots: TKboots
  • Blaster: E-11 from Hyperfirm

Thank you for your support and I apologize for not being a very good photographer (nor is my son, LOL!).  :D

I'd be happy to take more (probably also really bad) photos as needed and I appreciate your guidance as I plan on going for Centurion next if possible.

Oh, that's awesome! All of that work and none of the images seem to work. I'll fix it ASAP!

EDIT: Looks like flickr worked at least.  :)

Looks like the pictures are working.

1. You may want to retake the pictures of the sides with your arms raised. Your armor looks like it was not secure (separation of abdomen/kidney)

2. Take a picture of the back of the thermal detonator.

3. need action shot of classic TK (no HWT)... agree, great shot though

4. Rivet on the cod must not be painted (remove the paint)

5. Need a picture of the D-ring on the blaster (back)

6. Make sure all rivets on the left side of your clam connection are all painted white

7. You may want to clean up the button on your abdomen, you over-painted them a bit.

Good Job bud!

Hey Chris Andrew or myself will be with your shortly. While you're waiting please post the following photos.

Helmet left

TD to bracket connections

Waist belt back connections

Thigh to ammo belt connections (inner and outer)

We love the fact you have both the E-11 and DLT but we need you to pick one. If you want to submit the E-11 then give us an action shot with that and supply a "D" ring photo. If the DLT is you fave post details of that blaster.

Thanks trooper

Hey Chris before we get start in addition to the above you'll need to correct the calf cover strip length. The strip should stop at the bottom of the return edge. Trimming this will bring you back into spec.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!  :duim:

OK, I got most of that done (everything I didn't actually need to put all of the armor on for, LOL!). Here you go, item by item:

Back of the thermal detonator (black, round-head screws, but they seem a bit too small and are phillips head not slotted so I will replace them before going for Centurion).

Another shot of the cod rivets showing that they are unpainted (the blue in the first picture was a reflection of the couch cushion).

Rear of Hyperfirm E-11 blaster showing the D-ring.

Touched up the chipped rivets on the left side of the abdomen.

Left side of helmet (still looking for the right screws for the ears).

Waist belt rear (also shows the drop boxes are fully enclosed, and the annoyingly ugly E6000 stain near the holster).

Thanks again! Action shot of classic TK pose and re-done side armor (arms raised) photos will follow when I get a chance to don the armor and get my son to take some pics. :smiley-sw013:

  • ukswrath changed the title to TK 71716 Requesting ANH Stunt EIB status [Anovos][763]
Hey Chris thank you for applying for EIB.
CRL and EIB Application Requirements:
All the required submission photos have been posted. Very nice job on your build. Your armor meets all EIB requirements, Andrew and myself would like to welcome you to Expert Infantry Brock :salute:

Other-Armor Fit/Assembly:
In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor and accuracy. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. Again, these are suggestions and recommendations, ultimately the accuracy is up to you.

We have a few areas to go over so let's get to it. Starting with the helmet the ear screws. The screws Anovos uses to secure the ears are incorrect. They should be "V" head slot screws. There are a couple sellers here on the FISD that have the correct screws. Note: Don't throw these screws away just yet, you might need them.

Vcoder lines could use a little more definition as seen in the provided reference photo. A little touch up is in order in the following areas.

Next up is the back to kidney gap. There should be very minimal gap here. If you decide to shoot for Centurion we definitely encourage you to tighten up this area.

Your waist belt is a little droopy on the left side, not bad. It should be roughly 1/4"-1/2" higher. Take a look at the provided reference photo.

Drop the forearms to eliminate the larger gap at the wrist. It's suggested you give yourself a 1/2 or so gap between the bicep and forearm to help reduce the gap at your wrist. This will also increase the freedom of movement at your elbow.

Se we noticed the thigh cover strip is a little low on the left thigh. It should stop right around the top of the return edge like shown in the reference photo.

And lastly, it's hard to tell in this photo but we wonted to confirm the thigh ammo pack rivet is indeed painted.

Centurion Suggestions:
In this section we prepare you for your Centurion application if you choose to apply. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here. We have a couple area that will need to be addressed before applying for Centurion. Kidney to Ab gap. At Centurion there is little to no gap between the two sections as stated in the CRL. On both sides you'll need to tighten or shorten the strapping to remove the gap.

kid%20r.jpg

Tightening the gap on the left side will also help eliminate the shifting (out of alignment) between the two sections.

THANK YOU!!!!  Yep, Centurion is next on the list, but I can see I have some work to do before I can get there. :smiley-sw013:

Also, HWT and Shadow Trooper yet to be finished up...  :peace:

EDIT: Seeing that Expert Infantry badge to the left under my name was totally worth the effort! Wish I had a chance to get one when I was 11B...  ;)
