Sly11[Admin] Posted December 7, 2016 Report Posted December 7, 2016 Hi Cody, congratulations on your new approval. Below is a link to a tutorial a budy of mine did for keeping your TK shins down on your boots, check it out its going to help. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/35329-howto-keeping-tk-shins-in-place/ Secondly, if you could post up a photo of the inside of your armour showing the strapping between kidney and Butt plate, it is going to help us give you better advice on how to try and remedy your problem. Looking forward to seeing some photos Quote
MrSnrub[501st] Posted December 7, 2016 Author Report Posted December 7, 2016 hey, thanks a lot thats a great solution to the shins, ill definitely try something like that, with the buttplate im meaning the snaps at the bottom where the codpiece elastic/snap connects tomy strapping system is the usual brackets with elastic, this is the part of the butt i meant Quote
justjoseph63[Staff] Posted December 7, 2016 Report Posted December 7, 2016 That can be a tricky one, Cody. You can try heat bending that area by immersing it in a hot water bath for a few seconds (just until needed), bending it in a little and then running cold water over it to set it, but sometimes when you do that it causes the sides of the butt plate to flare out because of the curve. If that happens, you might try to trim (taper) that area down a bit first. It will also make a bit more "comfortable" in that area, if you know what I mean. (No chafing). Be careful when heating it though, and only submerge it for 5 to 10 seconds the first time to get the feel of how much time it will need. It may take you several tries to get the taper right, but hang in there. Worse case scenario you may have to change out the elastic in that area for nylon. Great job on that armor, by the way, and congrats on your approval, Trooper! So when are we going to see your EIB submission? Quote
