Hunter.hoffman Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 Started my build today. All the part in the box are a little overwhelming for a first time builder. So i am going to focus on one section at a time and trim as I go. They still need some clean up. Will be doing all my clean up just before glue. Good place to stop for the night. 3 Quote
Barcoder[TK] Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 Hunter, welcome to the madness! Congrats on your first build! It can be very overwhelming at first, but like you said, focus on one piece/section at a time. You will be fine. Have fun! 1 Quote

Hunter.hoffman Posted February 8, 2016 Author Report Posted February 8, 2016 are you overlapping and joining.? hope not.No. Just checking fit to see how much I need to trim. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk Quote
Hunter.hoffman Posted February 8, 2016 Author Report Posted February 8, 2016 Got a little work done during the game. Fit check. First first joint setting for 24hr. Because the forearms need time to set I trimmed the biceps. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted February 8, 2016 Report Posted February 8, 2016 (edited) take the return off the bottom of the bicep. on the forearms, remove the return at the cup of the elbow. the top part of the elbow retains the return edge on the forearm. Hunter.hoffman Posted February 9, 2016 Author Report Posted February 9, 2016 Glued the back side of the forearms. Finished trimming the biceps. I removed most of the return edge. Got the left side trimmed to size. Because of trimming the top on front inside is a little high. Will be training in similar to what is show for the right side in the build by Ukswrath post #330 http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?/topic/35086-ukswrath's-ANOVOS-TK-build#entry464978 Stopping for the night Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk 1 Quote
Hunter.hoffman Posted February 12, 2016 Author Report Posted February 12, 2016 I was able to get a little more done last night. Forgot to take some photos. Will post a full update tonight. Quote
Hunter.hoffman Posted February 12, 2016 Author Report Posted February 12, 2016 Got the both sides of the biceps glued. Getting the hang of the score and snap. So I started to trim the rest of the arms and legs. Really need to get some more clamps. Going to try to get the leg and arms assembled this weekend. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk Quote
ukswrath[Staff] Posted February 12, 2016 Report Posted February 12, 2016 Nice job Hunter, keep up the good work 1 Quote
Hunter.hoffman Posted February 28, 2016 Author Report Posted February 28, 2016 After the discussions I re did my shins. I need to do some e6000 clean up. The cove strips on the thighs keep lifting. Even after sitting for a day or 2. I use magnets, clamps and tape. I think once I get my under suit and can confirm the fit I will CA them into place. Thinks have slowed down unfortunately. Mainly because I am waiting for the under suit to ship. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk Quote
themaninthesuitcase[Admin] Posted March 1, 2016 Report Posted March 1, 2016 How much glue are you using, it looks like a quite small amount. I used a wooden stirrer liberated from a coffee shop to smear a layer of glue over the entire surface to be glued. If you leave this a minute or two it starts to go tacky and makes the clamping far easier. Quote
