iceman25c[501st] Posted May 28, 2015 Report Posted May 28, 2015 (edited) Hello. I was doing some research on shins as I'm having a bit of trouble with mine. Looking through some recent Centurion applications, I saw a lot of variation: Is there any standard that we need to follow for the tops of the shin armor in the back (the same area where I'm having trouble)? I see some cut back as well, is that for better movement or to protect from bites? Thanks! Edited January 10, 2021 by gmrhodes13 photo updated gmrhodes13 2021 Quote
87ninefiveone Posted May 28, 2015 Report Posted May 28, 2015 The v shaped cuts in the lower left corner are for better mobility. All versions are acceptable from what I've read. Quote
The5thHorseman[501st] Posted May 28, 2015 Report Posted May 28, 2015 Yes, these V cuts are here just to improve mobility. Basically, if you're a short trooper that's something to consider if you have trouble walking, especially in the stairs. 1 Quote
Chills[TK] Posted May 29, 2015 Report Posted May 29, 2015 This is good info. Being less-than-ideal TK height I've been having a bit of trouble walking. I think I may cut a bit of a V-notch in my greaves. Quote
