Zefram
I have been working on my kit for a while and wanted to get some feedback. I have just finished with the arms and would like to confirm that I am on the right track. My only concern is that the forearm capping strips might be on the long side. Even after using a heat iron to make the return (elbow end of the forearms) more of a right angle, the plastic still jutted out a bit. I made the capping strips slightly longer so that when the piece was viewed straight on, they would cover the protrusion. Now that they are together, I am not sure if this is the right look. Any and all advice is welcome! Thanks for the help!
TK bondservnt[501st]
FOREARMS: remove the return at the cup part of the elbow. make sure there is no return at the front of the wrist only the back of the elbow has a slight return. where cover strips meet there is no return edge. cut coverstrips at an angle flush at the elbow. you don't want them 90 degrees. BICEPS: on the biceps make the coverstrips flush and not poking out. no return edge on top or bottom. return edge is at the bicep muscle cutout on each side and near the "thumbprint" and shows a return at the top of the bicep near the tricep region. DizzyStormtrooper[501st]
id cut 1/8th inch off the top of the bicep cover strips, and a 1/4 inch of the top and bottom forearm coverstrips

gmrhodes13[Staff]
Also don't make your cover strips hang over the edges as they will catch on things
