Shoulder Bell Question...

Recommended Posts

Was wondering, as for the shoulder bells is the elastic attached at the very bottom of the shoulder bell? or a bit of an offset? Lastly, my shoulder bells have a slight return edge at the bottom and was wondering if you guys left it on or took it off. Its for ANH stunt style armor. Thanks in advance and HAPPY 4th of JULY!!!!!!!!

from the look of the original the front bottom of the bell has a slight return, the center has more return,

and the rear has little to no return.

the bell on the left is SDS- AA.  I can tell by looking at the green dot.

nice post from the LFL lawsuit archives.

to get the crimp correct, you can do two things.  heat the inside and crimp.

then put the elastic on low and short to pull the bell around the bicep tight.

I would start your bell with a return edge like the one on the left.

If you need to trim and adjust later then you can.

The bicep strap looks very loose and thus useless in the pic.

I always glue the strap to the bicep so the the elastic goes from one side to the other looking tight.

Ie no loose flappy bit like the pic.

This way the bicep strap will be functional to help keep the shoulder bell in place.
