Working on the belt whilst waiting on glue setting.

Rivets were far to long so I had to shorten them, here's how it's done.

1,2,3 - gently grip the rivet and tap the centre pin through.

4,5 - cut the rivet to the desired length and remove any ragged edges.

6,7 - tap the centre pin back through the rivet.

Almost there, almost there...

Oh by the way, Mr Haggis has already pointed out that the holster straps to the belt a re riveted incorrectly and this has now been rectified. :jc_doublethumbup:

The only thing I would say, which is an ATA problem, is the right forearm look really wide, I corrected mine by heating both sides and applying a little pressure to bring them in more of an oval shape like the left side. This should be ok for basic approval but if you aim higher it will be picked on. Apart from that I can't see much else wrong, you have done a really nice build there, good luck with your application, fingers crossed it doesnt' take too long :D

Hi LePaul. Here is the guide I used but I have to say that it didn't quite work out for my left bicep, take another look at page1 for this.

Luckily this guide worked just and only just for the left forearm. Take your time and try on your forearms plenty of times with tape to get the right size.

The two halves don't match up perfectly but that's ok as you cut the cuffs off anyway.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you...

I need to take a close look at how you did the waist belt too.  I bought the canvas one from Trooper Bay and need to read up on your build and others.

One question that comes to mind...I'm right handed so my holster would go there.  Just need to figure out the attach point.

I have to say, working with plastic is nerve-wracking for the un-initiated.  My two aluminum R2-D2s were much easier!

It does not matter if you are right or left handed, cause for ANH Stunt all holsters are attached at the left side ;)

Take this as a reference:

Holster adjusted and E11 finished.

All ready to try out and no better way than getting out there with it on. :smiley-sw013:

Went along to Collectormania at Braehead Arena, Glasgow UK and bumped into some of the UKG :)

Had an absolute blast, speaking to the guys and interacting with the public. :jc_doublethumbup:

It was a great experience and also let me know how the suit was holding up.

Just a couple of adjustments to make to the shoulder bells and biceps and we are all good.

I will post up some pics of the adjustments and submit my clearance photos.

Cheers to everyone at Braehead, it was awesome. :D

Hi all, final adjustments made and we should be good to go. :jc_doublethumbup:

Elastics.jpg

Added elastics to the cuffs and ankles on the under suit, to help stop bunching at the elbows and knees.

Must say this works a treat, so much better now.

NewShoulderandHolster.jpg

Holster blind rivets changed to pop rivets, and tan straps in the correct place too.

Had to double pop the shoulder bells top and bottom, changed the elastic link to the bicep for a canvas one and changed the canvas link from the bell to the shoulder strap to elastic.

Had problems with the bell coming detached a couple of times but this was mainly due to the bell rising and sitting on top of the bicep.

Then when I moved a certain way the bicep would then push the bell upwards and become detached.

Problem seems to have been solved by basically swapping the links around, stopping the bell from moving above the bicep and allowing a bit of stretch in the top of the bell. :duim:
