DizzyStormtrooper[501st] Posted February 15, 2013 Report Share Posted February 15, 2013 basically i used the top of the ab plate, put it over my chest plate, and cut there.. if you know what i mean. im 5'9" so the sides of the chest originally were touching my hips. its sort of like the "reshape fx chest" tutorial but i used the ab plate shape as a stencil, the chest still over laps the ab, i still have to cut the sides off though for accuracy and glue the shoulder straps on. what you guys think? side question, how much you think i should cut off the bottom of the shoulders? im thinking an inch or 2 max Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Plus it seems like I didn't leave enough material for an edge anyway. any shorter might look like a bra lol. The chest looks good how you have it now as far as where it sits. The shoulders we can check out in person and see what you have to work with. If you are dead set on trimming them, go 1/2 inch at a time and make sure they sit right after each cut and that moving your arms around doesnt get them hung up. Its a great place to meet other Star Wars costumers and interact with cool kids who are freaking out because there are real life Star Wars characters to take pictures with. We all do this hobby for our own reasons. My TK is an AM kit and I would be willing to help you get it built and help you get fitted right. We have some really skilled builders in Casa Grande too.
