Kessel Run[TK] Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 I understand that the AB rivets are 5/16 x 7/16 brass split rivets. Is there a source commercialy available? Home depot ,Lowes? I also understand that the Cod rivet is the same, what about the knee belt ones, are they the same? and pop rivets are frowned upon for any of them. Correct? Quote
fritzthefox Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 Rivets are best found wherever leather craft supplies are sold. Ebay is, of course, a great source. Note that cap rivets and chicago screws appear the same as split rivets externally, and are often easier to install. I think the knee belt rivets are smaller. Someone more in the know will have to confirm that... Quote

Sad part of this is I used to hold the exclusive distributor rights for Tandy leather for the area, years ago when I owned my hobby shop... hindsight huh. Quote
