Wire Around Barrel Fins

Should the four pieces of wire that go tround the barrel fins be inlaid or does it sit on top ?

look to me that the wires embed. and cut into the T Tracks.

 

funny how the color of the tracks reminds me of the sabrefreak tracks.

 

a slight red color.

It's not a screen used DLT in the pictures above, it's a replica. So yes, it might very well be sabrefreak T-tracks on it.
