Gep Posted May 22, 2012 Report Posted May 22, 2012 I'm just starting my Doopy Doo mod to the Hasbro E11. I'm inspired by the work shown here: http://www.whitearmo...opic=12522&st=0 I want to replicate the trigger, site, and 7 hole mod that Jorran did. On top of that, I'd like to do a few things to make this a little more like the Doopy Doo scratch kit. I'd like to fully remove the rail behind the scope and replace it with flat aluminum stock so that it connects with the rear gear piece as shown. I'd also like to replicate the bolt by cutting a groove as shown, adding a fake spring and bolt (yellow). I've not seen a Hasbro with this mod, so I'm wondering if this would still meet EIB status. I'm making look less like a Hasbro, and more like the Doopy kit, but I want to make sure the concept is acceptable. Modified pictures showing what I have in mind are below Quote
matt black Posted May 22, 2012 Report Posted May 22, 2012 Hi Brian. For EI, I think you will be fine http://www.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_anh_stunt but not for centurion. Quote
Clamps[TK] Posted May 22, 2012 Report Posted May 22, 2012 I'm still waiting to get my AP Armor kit to apply for status and hopefully EIB too. I have been modding my Hasbro in the meantime and have done the extra holes, the rear scope rail removal and replaced with aluminum rail and i am about to work the front site. All of these changes I have seen in othe Hasbro mods so I feel you should be fine with it. I have not seen the spring and slot add on a Hasbro, so I cannot comment that (though it would be an intriguing add had I not sealed up my screw holes and seams. Good luck. Picture of mine in progress: Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted May 22, 2012 Report Posted May 22, 2012 Yes, a modded hasbro is permitted for EIB. A very well modded hasbro is even more so. No hasbro whatsoever will however be permitted for Centurion. Quote
bigironvault Posted May 22, 2012 Report Posted May 22, 2012 Great .... the standards for Hasbro mods just went up! J/K great job Charles/Bryan. Quote
Gep Posted May 22, 2012 Author Report Posted May 22, 2012 Thanks for the input everyone! Charles, that is exactly what I had in mind on the rail. I appreciate you posting those pics! I'll get a WIP going. Quote
