Hi all before I shell out for some gloves (mainly for trooping vs. accuracy ie. rubber gloves, which I intend to get a pair of as well) are these the gloves everyone's talking about?------------

Screen accurate = rubber/chemical gloves. Centurion level = latex-ish rubbery stuck-on stuff like the link above. If you are going for accuracy, get at least one pair of chem gloves.

Comfort = nomex. I got these after my EI status. They are sweet! I also got them half the price ($19.98) of your listing on Amazon. But yes, those look to be the ones (at least the ones like I got).

If you're wondering which I plan to wear at events, well, like decals and stuff, it depends on the level of the event (LFL vs. Fan Events, for ex.). I wore my Nomex on TV.

I also found two "dive suits" (the black under-armor stuff) on Amazon for about $19 each. They run small/tight, but once I got the right size they fit great. UnderArmour doesn't make the black suits for women anyway.

Heck I think about 50% of my accessories and tools I got super cheap on Amazon.

Yup I got some chemical gloves and plan to get the latex hand guards as well. But I can imagine that rubber gloves are somewhat annoying on a troop and are really more for show aka. getting EIB status. In reality, I would probably wear something more comfy (unless the troop requires accuracy).

Generally people use screen accurate stuff for pics etc. I would advise you go with Nomex for regular trooping. Silk if you're going ESB.

Remember that not everything screen accurate is going to be great for trooping. You have to try to make your suit the best of both worlds.

Agreed, very wise advise! :)

I had a pair of nomex gloves for something else (aka beating my friends with boffered weapons) a while back - it bled for a bit but then after repeated use it stopped. I think the best way to "wear it in" is to literally wear it I think. Today I use it for everything from moving to winter gloves.

I have nomex gloves similar to those but I found mine on EvilBay (Ebay), for a lot cheaper than that, look up nomex flight gloves.
