Solcar23[TK]
Hi all, I was hoping to get the exact size for the hex screws to replace the poorly cast front nozzle ones as well as the full length that you all have cut the metal rail for the scope. I probably can figure it out through some trial and error but just thought this would be faster. I am in the middle of the build and just need to grab the replacement hex screws to finalize my parts. Thanks guys! On an added note! My ATA kit is finally ready and I'm hoping to have it shipped by the weekend! I'll post the brown box pics as soon as I get it! YAY!!!!!!!!!! ZeroRoom[TK]
the hex screw have an exact diameter of 9.31mm (0.36" or basically 1/3 of an inch) but I'd say 10mm or 9mm would be easier to find and not any noticeable difference. Solcar23[TK]
I bought some 10 MM and they were WAY too big, they were HUGE in comparison. I'm a bit confused............Maybe the bins were mislabeled.......
dashrazor
finding the correct size (or close enough) isn't very tough.. it is finding hex bolts with the correct knurling pattern most common hex bolts have a vertical patter as here originals have a diamond (crosshatch) pattern similar to the photo below im sure they could be found, but i have looked a few times and came up with nothing
ZeroRoom[TK]
10mm at the head or 10mm screws? Sorry i should have clarified that's the head size not the shaft size..

Solcar23[TK]
HA, HA!! Found the proper rail length on Martin's build. 26 cm long!
MartinSivertsen[501st]
Attaboy! Search and ye shall find. The head of the hex bolts I used were 10mm, and they sat really tight. I just hammered them lightly in place and they sit there snug as a bug.
Trooper1972
The hex bolts I used were M6. I cut off the heads and just used an epoxy resin glue to stick them into place as the inner barrel makes it a little tricky to thread them in. Amplexor[TK]
The originals have heads that are 9,45mm, the thred part is 6,24mm and the whole screw is 22,10 mm long. They look like this
