YouCantBe Sidious[TK]
Please accept my apologies for the hand plates being on the wrong hands. I just had my fiance' snap a quick photo and wasn't paying attention, but I think I am close to purcashing a 2nd set of armor to weather/destroy to start work on a death trooper. Got some hands in that may work, so I figured I'd do a nice bit of hand modeling! he he he
YouCantBe Sidious[TK]
Started working on my helmet - AP bucket. Need to replace with darker lens and start weathering process. Also need to add tube stripes.
YouCantBe Sidious[TK]
With a bit of weathering and some dremel - paint filled scratches... I've added more damage since, but this came out nicely!

YouCantBe Sidious[TK]
Thanks guys! The red I'm using is called fresh scab from ben Nye. Wicked stuff! I dremeled the helmet to make the scratches, painted in some black to make it look dirty and then used the red scab to make it nasty! YouCantBe Sidious[TK]
Armor build day 1: Received used FX ab, butt and back and biceps. Removed rivets from used kit. Started from scratch and added strapping, buttons, snaps and side rivets - all to EIB standards.
YouCantBe Sidious[TK]
Death Trooper Kit Day 2: Added damage, scratches, paint weathering, cracks with exposed fleshy bits and plenty of "fresh scab" blood.
Dday[501st]
This will work great at a horror convention. I think most people will be to scared to get close enough anywhere else, wow.
YouCantBe Sidious[TK]
Thanks Derrek! Using the excess nasty fleshy bits from the mask I used for the helmet, has provided me with lots of extra flesh to used under cracks in the armor. It looks and feels great (or nasty)! YouCantBe Sidious[TK]
Build Day 3: Used ATA parts arrived today. Nice and clean! Damage added with exit wound to back. Ripped armor and exposed flesh in chest piece. Thighs with open rips (thighs are being shimmed - mine are a little bit bigger, so I had to rip the back joins apart and I have inner strips gluing now before adding outer strips), biceps with damage and shoulder bells with scratches. YouCantBe Sidious[TK]
I'm adding random scratches to the kit with my TK number. My thought being that as this TK was going crazy and slowly becoming a zombie, he was losing his mind and scratching his TK number into his own armor before becoming completely undead. W1ckerMan
Looking awesome mate. Would love to see a whole squad of Deathtroopers together at a troop sometime!!
YouCantBe Sidious[TK]
Thanks Jim! That would rock to see a nice troop of zombies. Scary as hell too, I would imagine... Ā Day 4 and 5 - Death Trooper Build - weekdays (so after work = less work time) Ā Added more weathering to biceps and shoulder bells. Gluing in snap plates (I use the strap material instead of ABS) More damage added to bucket: More weathering added to ab, cod, back, etc. Ripped out straps and added suspenders- that's what's clamped and gluing here. More weathering on thighs and bandages added for good taste. A bit more weathering on chest plate. and back Next step will be to trim and build AP legs, belt and forearms. Should be arriving soon! YouCantBe Sidious[TK]
Day 6: Went to go see Iron Maiden, so all I did was a test fit when I got home. Ā Still missing: belt, shins, forearms, drop boxes and need to strap down the chest and back a bit lower. YouCantBe Sidious[TK]
Death Trooper Build - Day 7: Some beautiful untrimmed AP bits showed up today. I started trimming and will post progress pics once there's something worth taking photos of. Weekdays suck, I had a FFB draft tonight, so I barely got anything done. YouCantBe Sidious[TK]
Death Trooper Build Day ** - **) Trimmed and assembled shins and forearms. Just waiting on extra abs strips in the mail to complete cover strips on forearms. Legs almost complete. Weathering done on shins and boots. Added bandages. Wasn't satisfied. Added huge zombie bite prosthetic. Nice bite out of right calf. Doing the same to forearm. Cut hole. Glued prosthetic bite to fore sale sign bits. Glued and clamped and after last cover strip is added, I will complete weathering. Some of the excess blood will wipe off with weathering to reveal bite a little better. YouCantBe Sidious[TK]
Exit wound glued inside forearm. Added a bit of weathering, even though it's still clamped and glue needs to be left to cure overnight. Pops out nicely from the rip.
