matt black Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 Hello good people of the Empire. My AP kit came the other day but I can't start it yet as my wife is in hospital so I just don't have the time at the moment. Best laid plans eh! When it comes to me putting the lid together would it be O.K for me to fit black mesh behind the lenes. Not for any reason other than I think it would look good when you look inside the helmet. I won't be trooping with this one as I will be getting a second one for that purpose. My question is, will this be a problem when I apply for EIB? Many thanks, Rob. Quote

Rob - I know you said that you are not going to troop with this helmet, but I have screens (made out of flyswatters, of all things) behind my Vader lenses and they really help to disguise my eyes if someone takes a flash photo of me. matt black Posted February 2, 2011 Author Report Posted February 2, 2011 Thats where I got the idea from. I've always loved the look of the mesh on the Vader lenses. The mesh I'm going to use is one of those very fine mesh face protectors. I think they use them when grinding metal and such instead of the clear plastic ones. Thanks for the help guys. I'm gonna go for it! Mmmmmmm, meshy stormtrooper lenses. Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 you can put one way mirror film inside them as well... NO flash, and the added benefit of sunglasses. I'm in the "no mesh" camp on this one! cheers! Quote
