All that I'm missing is the inner spring, power cylinders and the rail for the scope and hengslter counter to go on. But here are some pictures of how i'm doing so far Here is the M38 scope The Counter and the bolt inside (i haven't 'installed' it yet, i just slided it in just to take the picture) I'm really happy with it. Looks very good in person and it's not too heavy. What i'm uncomfortable with is its shininess, can it be shiny like that for EIB? TK bondservnt[501st] Posted January 12, 2011 Report Share Posted January 12, 2011 (edited) nice job built on one of my PVC pipes built with T Tracks, and bolt milling breech and cocking channel. like karin says, to knock down the shine, just hit it with a slight matte clear coat. you can usually get that type of paint at hobby shops, or at your local home store. I'm glad your build is looking so good. if you need help with an aluminum sight rail, and mountings for the scope and hengstler, I can show photos, or even help you with the actual parts... just PM me for more info. you can also knock down the shine with some detailed sanding and such. just scratching it lightly with some 900-1200 grit can also make it happen. TK bondservnt[501st] Posted January 13, 2011 Report Share Posted January 13, 2011 thing you want to keep in mind is that E-11's should have bumpy tubes, and smooth grips. the grips are even a little shiny, but the tube and all parts are matte flat black and have a subtle bumpy finish which comes from the metal finish that the prop dept just sprayed flat black over. the T Tracks should be solid and not rubber, and they should be smooth flat in finish. putting any silver details on the grips section just adds that "sterling" look. especially if the bolt has a silvered and blued steel color. the other parts are all steel colors for the 'silver' parts.
