Flat Soled Boots?

I'm sorry although I'm somewhat confused as await approval --------

 

I'm told that their may be a problem with my boots because the CRL clearly states that:

 

* Boots. These must be white leather or leather like, above ankle, with a flat sole, with small U-shaped elastic sections on both sides of the ankle. Jodhpur-type boots or an equivalent style. No buckles or laces. Elvis or mariachi boots are not acceptable.

 

I own a pair of TK Boots and thought I was in good shape. I could of swore that the TK's portrayed in ANH, ESB and ROTJ all had black heels for the exception of ROTJ when they were white, correct? Are the heels on TK boots to big? I'm not sure am I missing something here? Should I have my heels trimmed down? Seriously...

I believe the "flat sole" is in reference to the tread area, not the heel. The screen used boots had slight heels to them. Most of us have TK Boots (or something similar).

Exactly Derek. I'm just thinking someone might be interpreting it the wrong way. I'm sure they are going to fine. I guess I'll just have to wait for the official verdict.

Yes the flat sole refers to the tread area, some people try to use similar white boots with combat boot like soles.

 

Paul (Daetrin) already addressed this question from your GML on the Legion boards yesterday. You should be all set for approval.

Mark - you are good to go I believe. Please post more pix of your kit - it looks really well done from the one shot I saw on the GML boards.

 

I think we can re-word the CRL to ensure that it's more clear. The GML was thinking flat sole as in Fett boots which are 100% flat.

Thank you gentleman. I knew it had to be misinterpreted. Granted I'm a noob one could relate to my concern. On a good note, I also just received word from my GML that he did approve me and I just await the official final word before I take my next step into this new journey.

I think the only thing I'm that may hold you up from EIB is the blaster, e.g. ammo counter & d-ring. D-rings are via Sonneshein or you can use a coat hanger and bend/paint, not entirely sure where the best places to get resin or real counters are anymore.

I'll have to research that. I'm sure I can get it tricked out & dialed in. I'm might even pursue another blaster & BFG down the road as well.
