  1. It's all personal preference, but ATA would fit his body type as well. I'm 6' and 220 and it fits me pretty well. Just need to lose a few lbs and it'll be perfect.

  3. Very nice. I really cant wait to get working on mine. I have the box sitting here next to me just staring at me. I just finished my ESB and now I've got an ANH bucket and some other things to work on so not yet.
  4. When I just did mine, I actually put everything on and had my GF drill directly into my armor through the belt to get the right spot. I like living on the edge.
  5. I've only had a hips bucket before so I can't really speak about the armor, but yeah definitely like the ABS way more than HIPS. I had around 3 or 4 cracks, one very serious one, on my bucket in the year that I spent trooping with it. That's not to say that my ABS armor didn't crack, but I wasn't really putting as much stress on my bucket as on some of the armor pieces that gave me problems so yeah. I troop a lot and I appreciate durability way more than anything HIPS can offer.
  6. You can pick up cheap canvas drop cloths from Lowe's for like 5 bucks. Just make sure they're the ones without the plastic on the backs.
  7. DIRTTTYYYY!!! When are you going to wear this? I cant wait to see it in person.
  8. That's how most of mine are made. I just bend the tabs on each side a bit so it'll grip. Otherwise, you can use the method Pandatrooper posted here somewhere. He uses rivets to connect the snaps to the plastic. *Edit: Found the link here: -
  9. Thanks for posting this! I may take this into consideration when making my build. On another note, I also have been kicking my armor about. I kicked my ESB chest plate across the room the other day face down. Too bad my floors are clean.
  10. Funny that that's allowed but mounting the holster on the belt on the outside as seen in screen caps and on actual armor is a no no.
  11. Thanks, that's exactly what I need to know.
  12. I've seen that the following blasters are "re-purposed" ANH blasters without the hengstler counter and power cylinders. But as you can see in the picture, it shares in common with the promo version that the front piece is cut. Does this share anything else in common with the promo blaster? Does it have the d-ring/d-ring holder on the back or is that missing as well? Any insights would be appreciated as I'm getting started on my blaster tomorrow.
  13. Nice. I might be hitting you up sooner or later as my GF is looking to do one of these for C6 as well.
  14. Looks fine to me.
  15. I'd be interested for sure. To be honest, I haven't really started doing much research on the RotJ stuff at all, so it's all new to me. Something that makes going accurate easier is always welcome.
  16. ATA ABS is quite thick (2mm) as well, and the sniper plate doesn't like being bent into shape around the shin armor. This problem can be remedied by a lot of glue and lots of clamps. If worse comes to worse it can be heated and bent into shape. Either way, the CRL states that the knee plate should not have rivets of any kind, so that's how it should be.
  17. Right side snap is facing the wrong way. Should be inside with the back part on the outside. Belt looks a little wide as well, not sure if that matters though. Everything else looks very nice. I will say that if you remove those rivets from your sniper plate and fix the snap you'll probably be GTG for Centurion.
  18. Just watched this last night. Honestly I'd have to say I got misty eyed. Olga was crying through the entire thing. A lot of tears of joy and pride from what she said. There were a bunch of folks we know and it was awesome to see squire Paul in this as well. Haha.
  19. That's actually how I did the ones on my bucket. If you look at the placement of them, there's no way they can be on top of the bumps.
  20. Just as an FYI, I usually use the Medium (purple). The thin stuff is SUPER runny and will get all over everything. Then again, it's all personal preference.
  21. I get mine here: http://www.hobby-lobby.com/hobby_lobby_glues_accelerators_466_ctg.htm 2oz of the stuff is enough to do almost an entire suit.
