Height and weight is different for eveyone. Body shapes are different, some look like pears (little on top, wide at the bottom) some don't. I would think 6-1 215lbs. would be fine to wear the good stuff, depending on build. I'm 6-00 240 lbs, but do a lot of weight lifting. I'm broad on top (51 coat) but relatively small waisted compared to my shoulders at 36" jeans. This is a Gf/AP (depending who you talk to). I use FX shoulders, biceps, forearms. The accurate stuff was way too small. (I apologize to those who are sick of seeing these same pics.)

Speakers...in the helmet or voice amp?

Where does the foam go? -
AP too short??? and alot of questions

I think you'll be fine. Just tweak the fit and find the happy medium, so your not too black in any one spot. -
Same thing here. I tried to somewhat shield the speakers from the inside by covering the inside behind the speakers with foil. NOPE.

Andy is a super nice guy. I know him from TDH and met him at C4. He also has a really nice Boba Fett.

I like it.

Thanks for the kind words, but I still have a fair amount of fat, evident by the fact I have 3 inches between my abs and kidney plates. I'm still lifting but can't do anymore cycles of pro-hormones, my costumes are getting tight. I've switched to lighter weight/higher reps, more cardio.

Sure can. It was your picture that prompted me to do that. I've been to Honolulu and went to the SHOPO store. IF that's the correct spelling? My wife is going to the big island in a coupe of weeks. One of our motor guys grew up there.

I'm a little bothered by the fact that there is a slight hue difference in the white ABS. The FX has a pinkish look while the other is somewhat blueish. Oh well, I'm not going to paint and the peole who will be seeing the suit will probably never notice.

A little more progress. Still having to use FX shoulders, biceps and forearms. The good stuff will absolutely not fit & look decent. Just little things to do and it'll be done. I have space between the abs and kidney, should I shim it closed, it's about 3 inches on both side.

use washers. After you give it the initial pull, slide the gun down over the nail to make up for the amount that pulled out. Keep the gun tight to the rivet before each pull.

Thanks. We got a lot of comments on the boots. Keep em shiney Guys at work say," I didn't know they made those boots for men."

I saw a picture similar to this from a guy who works at Honolulu PD over at MEPD. Thought I'd put together my own version. It's a 2006 BMW 1200 RT-P. If you look close you can see the collapsible stock of my AR-15 mounted just over the rear lights.

I'm finishing up the build. Still some tweaking to do. I've only had it about 2 weeks. New improved boots are on order. My hyperfirm E-11 is on order. I've mixed kits. The shoulders to wrists are from my first FX kit. I'm too big and had to shim the heck out of the bicpes. The shoulders wouldn't sit down on my shoulders, even after I heated them and opened them up. Because of my size, I fudged a little on the front strips and made them 1 1/4" instead of 7/8". I hope they are proportional given the legs are wider. Belt is not finished yet. I'm open to suggestions and comments. New kit: Old FX kit:

I fear I'll have to use my FX shoulders and biceps with my more accurate kit. I'm 6-00 235 lbs. I'll only have about a 1-2" space between the accurate ab/kidney pieces, and the legs will work fine (barely), but I'm big on top. I heated/widened the good shoulders but they still look like a "fat guy in a little coat" even with straps they wont sit down on my shoulders, especially with the biceps having to be 18". I guess what I'm asking: Is it cool to mix parts? The rest of the kit will fit fine. Anyone have any finished pictures of themselves in a mixed kits? Thanks. Can I have some opinions. I might be too critical of the suit. Which do you guys/gals prefer Accurate kit shoulders/bicep FX shoulders/bicep Let me have it, good and bad.

What makes you who you are? Growing up it was my parents. Now, it's my job and my surroundings. Oh, and Star Wars. What makes me tick? Going to work, I need the rush. After work, depending on my current projects, it's music (I play bass) or Star Wars costuming. What do you do for a living? I write tickets. I'm a motorcop here in Central California. I'm having a ball. I've always been a big ticket writer, and why not ride a new BMW 1200 RT-P while I'm at it. I'm 33 years old and have 10 years on. BTW, Quotas are illegal in Ca. What other passions do you have. Other than Star Wars..............well that's an obsession, so I guess none. Other hobbies and such? I have a 55' Chevy 2Dr hardtop I'm been working. Because of the Star Wars costuming bug I really haven't been working on it. Married or not? Yep, coming up on 7 years. We've been together for about 13 years, long before I got into Law Enforcement. She witnessed the transition, cause the job does change how you look at things. She could care less about Star Wars and says I "Live in Fantasy Land."

I took the triktoys speakers /electronics out of my FX kit today and put them in the GF, (I guess that's up for debate now with some people.). I'm going with what I was told. The areators in the kit are not-so-great. Now they're in the FX helmet. The only difference I see in that AP kit is that my shoulder straps were vac'd flat, if that's a difference. The hands and detonator ends are all on the same sheet. The straps, drop boxes, rivet covers and ab details are all together on another. ------

Sorry guys. It's a GF. It went from GF to the guy I bought it from. Someone mentioned the GF molds were used to make the AP. I have no idea, I'm new here, but I completely trust the prop guy I got from.

I'm on CT.N and Krylon for plastics is recommended I believe.

I'm a tad bigger than my GF kit in the thighs and biceps. I'd like to make my shims as undetectible as possible. I'm only going to need about 1 inch. I was going to work the edges of the shim/ armor to appear as 1 piece, but I'll need to fill and paint. The pieces will be permantley glued so the flexibility shouldn't be a problem. I called the auto paint store to get a custom match to the ABS. It can be done, but California EPA doesn't allow it to be put in a spray can, I'll have to mix it with a hardener and shoot it out of an HVLP. Which is not a problem, I have all the stuff to do it, but it's labor intensive and messy. Is there a stock spray can color that matches the ABS armor? What brand and finish is it? Is it a satin? Thanks all.

Her's a couple of updates, about 5 hours of work. Got some trimming done. It's gonna be a close fit. The calves will fit, barely. The thighs are still questionable, maybe a very small shim. BTW is there a good way to shim without it being completely obvious. I know it'll shim in the back. Bicep will definitely need to be shimmed, no biggie. The rest, we'll see, I don't know if the ab/back will meet on the sides. ------ Here are some of the things it came with. Velcro sewn onto the elastic, cool, but I'll be using snaps. Velcro sewn on the belt. Foam for the inside of the helmet. Don't really need it the helmet barely fits as it is. ----- Thought I'd throw in a Jango pic from a 501st event in Modesto,Ca. (Pic taken by Ken"Elvistrooper")

Titanium subscription purchased. Great place you got here. Back to work on my armor.

I was told this was a stunt kit. Came with the thin geen sheet for the lenses. My aerators ar wrapped in black tape, but I wont be using them. I have aerator speakers in my FX helmet and I'll be salvaging those, they look better. The strips for the fromt of the legs has to be cut from extra ABS supplied with the kit. comparing the helmets. My kit clearly has extra nose spots. I only drilled out 4 of them, but there is one more I could drill. Do I need to do that to make it an accurate stunt?

That's how I understood it as well from what I've read, but I'm the new guy and didn't want to put my foot in my mouth right off the bat. Most definitley a GF kit.
