Here's a suggestion.....Not a flat lens but this works like a charm: http://www.jacksonsafety.com/linkdetails.cfm?groupid=3002832 I can get about 4-6 pair of lenses out of one face shield and the curvature matches my helmet perfect.

Ahh, maybe they went back to the 149 after everyone complained. Several months ago all types of people a whole thread on Replica Prop Forum) were complaining when they ordered #149, Seals Direct would send 150 without notice and it wouldn't fit on any helmet. I stand corrected.

As far as I've heard Seals Direct no longer carries the correct neck trim. They changed their part number without letting customers know. Atlas is the only one I have found to carry the correct one. Atlas Neck Trim ATW 118 and also the brow trim ATS 4 are spot on.

If your looking for movie accurate trim, Altas Seals out of the UK No. ATW 118 is the stuff. Problem being their website is down (for some time now) to place an order.

Just trim the heck out of it.

Not knowing AP Armor, here is my 2 cents. Get extended Rivets...maybe 5/8" shaft. I filled the raised trim on the knee plate with 1/8" ABS. You can then connect the two points on the sides with the rivets and "lightly" glue the center point. I say lightly because the glue may warp the knee plate if you use too much. And be sure to use washers behind the rivets.

Everyone has great points. Some guys in our Garrison use rivets religiously. I'm all for the glueing. Forearms, biceps I would glue. I also use the velcro down the back of the calves. I glued the thighs 100 percent too, but I cannot get "suited up" without assistance.

Your best bet may be just to cut up some old household items. Sometimes waste paper baskets, signs, drawer organizers, etc are either ABS or HIPS. You can use All Purpose Cement to adhere them to an ABS Suit. Not the strongest, but might work for what you need.

Has anyone else noticed more orange peels in their ABS when they rapidly heat it up. I find I cannot make repeated pulls on my vacuum former. I have to start the oven up cold and let the moisture be baked out of the ABS. Anyone know of a method to avoid the moisture without the use of slow heating it?

I have purchased from Atlas Seals and their stuff is "Dead on" with the old version of what Seals Direct had. Good guys to deal with too.

Thank you for the input everyone. I think the resin method would have to be the route to go at this point. Not something I plan to do in the near future but a possibility.

Off to a good start Chefhawk. Things will seem slow at first until you really get the hang of it. Then before you know it you'll only have a half dozen castings and pieces to make. Keep up the good work and keep us posted.
