  5. Terry, Is the size of the holster screen accurate? I will be using it for both the Hasbro and my scratch built pipe E11? Andy
  6. I have the A.P. left sided holster. Can someone tell me how screen acurate it is. I know that the bottom is stiched shut. How accurate wil it be if I unstiched the bottom? I am in the process of making a E11 from scratch and ordering a Hasbro e11 upgrade kit from Doopy Doos to convert my Hasbro. Will both fit? Andy
  7. I saw that from Blasters Builders Club. When I clicked on the site, I noticed that they have a scope and scope holder. I am in the process of building a E11 from pvc pipe. I would like to know more about them and their quality. Andy
  8. Has anyone heard of them? http://www.blast-tech.com/products_scopesMounts.asp They have scopes and some parts? i would like to know if they are good or not? Andy
  9. Congrats! Like the posters said, take your time, measure three or four times and cut once. There are some ATA builds on here. Study, and review them. Have fun. If stuck or do not know what to do next???? Ask here. I am still in the middle of my Ap build. I am waiting for the temp to heat up so I can finish up my glueing. The E6000 fumes are powerful!!!! Post pics. A good tip. If you are trimming with a blade, get a pair of work gloves that have rubber on the bottom and mesh on the top. It saved me many trips to the ER! Also buy a pack of blades! Andy
  10. HAPPY NEW YEAR to all my fellow troopers, members and viewers!!!!! Andy
  11. Wishing MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!! Andy
  12. I am between 5.3 and 5.4 feet tall. I have begun the assembly of my AP Armor. I am saving the thighs for last. When I did a "tape" test assembly of my thighs and shins I noticed I have to trim the thighs. In doing so I am going to line them up and trim them to my height. The question that I am asking is. How far should the bottom my thighs line up to my knees without having the armor causing me to trip? Andy
  13. I emailed the company about if uglu is waterproof and how well does it hold up to humidity. I got I got this reply back. Andy Thank you for your inquiry and interest in UGlu. UGlu is waterproof and will not be affected by humidity. If I can help any more, please let me know. Justin Kalvitz Director of Retail Business 330-689-2290 Just to pass this on. Andy
  14. Has anyone heard of UGLU? ----- I tried this on my shins and I was shocked how they kept them together. I have AP Armor and I overlapped them. I also put them on and tooked them off and was walking around the house and they held up! I am going to put the ANH strips on the front and a strip on the inside as well. The sites faq's says it works on ABS, PVC. Andy
  15. I have a question about building a E11. I downloaded the templates for the E11of the Blaster builders website. I bought a 3 foot piece of 1 1/4 pvc pipe from Lowes. The front end barrell templates did not line up correctly. Did anyone else have this problem. I downloaded both sets. One seems to be a little short and the other is a bit longer? I also pick up some metal. I picked up two pieces of sheet metal the thickest there. I am going to go back and pickup the welding sheet for the folding stock. My next door neighbor is helping me out. I fix his pc for free and he fixes and tunes up my mountian bike and helps me building stuff like this. Andy
  16. When purchasing my AP armor kit. I did my research amongst other kits. I read almost every thread on this forum and other websites as well about the pro and cons of AP armor. I picked it because of the abs thickness and durability to withstand trooping events. I also know when I decided on AP was the comment of it being a "small kit". In my mind I was confused of a "small kit" being for a thinner body build or a shorter person? I am a semi athletic person. I like to bike ride in the spring and summer. I run 5k and 10k races. I walk allot. But, my problem is my midsection. I am trying to work on that. I would like to get back to a size 34 inch waist. When My armor is finished i will get back on a regular workout schedule. My biggest fear when I was trimming out my armor was, "Is this going to fit? I was not worried too much about my front and kidney section touching. I planned on using "shims" either a "white notebook binder cover", "white plastic garbage can" or the back of a "White yard sign". I got these ideas from reading posts from these forums. My biggest fear was my arms and legs. As a side note should I order my canvas belt now or wait till I lose some inches around my midsection? An idea came to my head the other day when I was doing another round of touch up trimming and sanding. Measure my biceps, forearms, thighs, and calves. When measuring I got these figures. My biceps are between ‘15 3/4' - '16' inches. My forearms are '11 1/2' inches. My Thighs are '23 1/2' inches. My claves are '15 3/4' inches. Also my height is between “5.3 -5.4" feet tall. I am more than "A Little Short For a Stormtrooper?" I used the Velcro that came with the kit for test fitting the parts, so I can get an idea of ANH trim measurements. I put Velcro on the back of the claves and shins and used tape on the insides. This helped to keep the parts stable for measuring. Here are the measurements that I came up with. Biceps 4 1/2 cm Forearms 4 1/2 cm Thighs 4 1/2 cm Shins 4 cm I know from reading different threads that there is no "set in stone" measurement for ANH strips. I want to know if I use these sizes for strips would the strips look too big? Also, by trying on the biceps and forearms, I noticed that I can trim of some more and I would still be able to slide my arms in. I took pictures of a test fit. The thighs and shins are Velcro in the back with tape in the front and wrapped around for keeping in place. I found out with my build and measurements I can fit into AP Bicep, Forearm, Thigh and Shin Armor without shims. I felt good! This inspired me to go and continue on knowing I will be able to fit in AP armor. The bad part, my height is between '5.3 - 5.4' feet tall. When I glue my Thighs and Shins, I will have to trim them to fit my height. I have enclosed photos. I will take pictures of the forearms and biceps and post them later on this weekend. With my height and the shortness of my arms, the armor will cover up and show little black of my Under armor top. Which, is what I want. Also, the bicep is low which helps as well.
  17. How does it feel when your trooping? Is the material breathable?
  18. Has anyone hear of this site? 'Shadowdale Creations" They sell neckseals that look like the movies. http://www.shadowdalecreations.com/imperial.htm I would like to know more about them. They have some nice stuff for futher down the road. Andy
  19. Thanks for the tip. I am heading out to "Harbor Freight Tools" for some plastic signs for the "INSIDE BUTSEAM". I will keep eveyone posted. Andy
  20. Now looking at them.... They do! I am going to wear an extra par of socks to make them snug. Untill he gets have sizes in. This will do.
  21. Thanks for the advice to all. After reading it I do believe I understand. Line up the side that is even, glue, let sit and then work on the opposite side. At first I thought I cut the pieces wrong or it was warped? Please post some pictures, I am goinng out today to get some styrene for the inside strips and buteam. Andy
  22. Here is what I mean that the wrists do not line up right. How can I adjust the wrists so they do?
  23. Thanks for the tips. I will match them up at the wrists. The problem is that one side of the wrist matches up and the other side extends out further.
  24. I received mine today. They look and are EXCELLENT!!!!! I wear between 8 - 8 1/2 U.S.. I ordered a 9 U.S.. I was not sure of an 8. They are made out of leather. I will order a 8 1/2 when they get them in stock. They run true to size. My 9 is a little big. But nothing an extra sock or thick socks can take care of. TKBoots are a blessing. For the cash you have to shell out for a pair of black books and take the time to sand and dye them and over time you have to touch them up from what I have heard. Get Tkboots! I have enclosed pictures below of mine to help show how good they are. Andy
